2025-26 NBA Season

Had to double check to make sure this wasn't a satire account. They can't be serious.

For a VERY short window when he was healthy, I agree that Kawhi was better than Kobe. That year he won Finals MVP, Spurs future looked bright. Then he basically proved it with his Toronto Raptors season.

Kawhi (when healthy) was a better defender than Kobe and didn't have to be a ball hog to get his points. Always averaged near .500 shooting while Kobe never got close.

Yeah he had an argument. His career has been cooked and career wise probably should’ve stayed in Toronto.

Stephon going to end up like Kawhi be a silent killer MVP soon. His FG% this year is incredible. Making these points with good shots. Like Kawhi, was already a great defender, and doesn't make bad shots or hog the ball. Just needs to get those TOs down. Has a little Manu in him, but take the good with the bad.

Wow. Mavs fans, get that tank in now. Looks like league is going to put a stop to it.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/47398198/sources-nba-looking-new-ways-prevent-teams-tanking

In recent years, multiple teams have either shut down players early or sat players for games to try to improve their draft positioning, often tied to a protected pick. Sources said multiple ideas were proposed as a brainstorming measure to combat tanking, including:

• Limiting pick protections to either top four or 14 and higher, which would eliminate the problematic mid-lottery protections.

• No longer allowing a team to draft in the top four two years in a row.

• Locking lottery positions after March 1.

These ideas, which came from the league and its high-ranking officials, would theoretically dissuade non-playoff teams from sitting their starters for games throughout the season and provide reason to continue to try to win games, particularly down the stretch of a campaign.

As multiple sources described, the attempts to find solutions to tanking are not intended to deter rebuilding teams who use their players as normal but rather teams that deliberately manipulate their rosters down the stretch of a season to land a higher pick or a protection range.

The NBA last changed the lottery rules in 2019, giving the three worst teams in the regular season the same 14% odds to land the No. 1 pick and a 52.1% chance of landing in the top four. Since then, three teams have jumped from outside the top five best odds to land the top pick, including the Atlanta Hawks (10th) and Dallas Mavericks (11th) each of the past two seasons.... Cowboys over everything lol.

Mavs just beat the Nuggets.

I’m gonna go ahead and say it…..Flaggs ceiling looks higher then Luka’s. I’ve never seen a 19 year old like this. Not saying he’s a better player but my goodness he’s such a great player.

Didn't Dirk play at same age too? Would be ahead of Dirk at this point as well because I don't remember him blowing up his rookie year either.

Best acquisition of Nico's career was 100% luck.

I mean when you think about it…..

Kyrie
Flagg
Pj
Lively
Gafford

Wasn’t like they had a plethora of assets to get these guys lol.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist but Mavs getting that 1st overall pick…..nobody has luck like that lol.

And yeah Dirk took some time to get off. Mavs did not have our faith when it came to starting euro players at that time. Chris Anstey was another one. We never saw Dirk coming.

Was a huge NBA fan years ago. Ref stuff ruined it for me. So not as up on it now.

With that said. San Antonio has a nice young base with Victor, Harper and Castle.

Yeah Thunder have a serious Spurs problem. It’s weird the Spurs can’t beat the Warriors but the Thunder can’t beat the Spurs. I’m still taking Thunder in a 7 game series but man it’s not nearly as confident.

Thunder might want to look back into seeing if Gianni’s is available. They got the pieces. Spurs are a problem for you guys.

Right now, the Spurs are the best team in the NBA. Their depth is incredible. I didn't think they'd be ready this early, but they look right now as if they could be anyone in a playoff series. And they won even when Wemby was out.

Deepest and most talented team in the NBA.

Jokic using Christmas to let everyone know that he is still the best player alive

He’s the biggest mystery I ever seen in sports. He was a 2nd round pick lol. I question if he even likes basketball. Hes so great it doesn’t even matter if he likes it or not lol. I have never seen a player like him. So good and he did it against DPOY lol.

Ant is a beast too. So many great young players in the league.

I think Thunder are deeper to be honest on paper Thunder are better but it’s not showing up on the court.

Like I said above Spurs have no issue with the Thunder but can’t beat a Warriors team that is solid but not nearly as good.

The difference though maybe Wemby. Hes on a minutes restriction and coming off the bench. If he gets to the point of playing 30 minutes and starting….i just don’t know who is gonna compete with them.

I said last year I don’t think anyone can compete with Thunder for some time and Spurs have arrived much quicker then I expected.

I thought Thunder would put up a bigger fight and I think they did it just didn’t matter lol.

Deeper? Don't see how. Spurs go 10 deep w/ starting quality players.

Thunder are 12 deep though. Thunder are so deep they have picks overseas waiting to play lol.

Spurs aren’t that deep. Harrison Barnes couldn’t crack their rotation neither could Champagnie. That doesn’t mean the Thunder are better. But I do think they are deeper on paper. Spurs have something though. Didn’t expect to see it this quick.
