Is he good enough to help improve Dak?
But must be less than the $20 million per season. No more than $12 to $15 range, and I still think that is too much.

He would be better off on a team like Kansas City where they don't really need him and not for $20 million per year.

I have a feeling I am going to be very sad at the end of this. I hate that we feel the need to be linked to him.

No rb....dl or ol
I think G is a high possibility but if a CB fell that could be an option. We are likely losing 2 and we’ve added 1
But adding OBJ wouldn’t make a WR impossible to take. I just don’t see one of the top guys falling

I'm not a huge fan of the injuries, but he would come in here as the #2, or depending how well Gallup plays the #3 in certain situations. As long as the price is right it could be a solid pickup. I don't have a problem with it as long as Jerry doesn't try to outbid everyone drastically for his services.

$10 mill a year aint gonna do it, not when Ju Ju got $11 a year.

My guess is $14-16 a year with incentives that could push it close to the $20 he wants (like if he breaks 1000 yds, is named to the pro bowl, team makes the playoffs, ect...)
Proposed incentives borderline LTBE \ NLTBE.
If it's J. Jones wanting OBJ in the fold, but S. Jones and the other voices in the FO (+ McCarthy) are against it because there are better options...override the Owner/GM and move on to take care of it ASAP - along with the other pressing roster needs.

No. We've been restructuring deals because they were designed to be restructured. Happens every year. Pay attention
Tyron's contract and Tank's contract were both restructured out of necessity, not by design.................I would have expected you to know that, surprised you didnt.

So 1 healthy guy and 3 knee surgeries between the other is your barometer for Dak?
If you dont think Lamb, Gallup, and OBJ would make one of the best WR cores in the league, then I dont know what to tell you.

For the salaries you are going to be paying those guys they better be one of the top WR cores in the league.

Actually, it this you that is incorrect. Every big contract Dallas has done for the past 10+ years has been designed to be restructured every year. It is built into the deal so they don’t even need the player to agree to it. Both Jones’ have spoken on this many times. Yes, they needed to restructure those deals but they knew that when the signed the contract and have planned on doing so all along. It’s how they and most teams manage the cap.

Not true with the specific examples I gave.

Tyron's contract was specifically reworked this year to free up cap space and add injury protections, this was not by design since he signed his contract many many years ago.

Tank's contract was specifically reworked as well to free up cap after the original contract was tore up and adjusted for injury protections last year.

Neither contract reworked was by original design.

Stay away from him. Take it from me: you do not want to sign a guy with two ACL tears in the same knee. He's done and he knows it. He's looking for one more big pay day.

Good point my friend, I am very skeptical his knee will ever be 100% again. Only way I sign him is if we have injury protections in his contract, but I dont know if he will agree to that.

If it was me running the show, I would just say screw it and trade a 2nd for Dhop.

I don't even know if that's a thing. The risk of injury is there for every player regardless of history. You can have game bonuses but who's to say he doesn't just hobble out there for a series and go to the bench?
