Tired of the OBJ drama. Someone sign him soon, so it can end, please. I don't care who does it, us, the Eagles, just stop talking about it. It's been like a year now with the endless speculation.

OBJ desperately needs to reduce his contractual demands if he really wants to ensure signing with the Cowboys.

(Like around half of what he expects.) In lieu of that, it wouldn't really be surprising if the 'Boys prefer to draft one.

Yeah the 78 million dollars he wants for two years needs to be about 10-12 million a year

Personally, I'm leery of signing a WR coming off (2) ACLs to a multi-year deal even if it is OBJ.

That's insane -- if that's his expectation, he can watch the Cowboys on TV, or find another team to sucker.

He would be much more than a replacement for Shultz. He is fantastic. And his hands are probably the best in the whole draft. Dude catches everything.

He was about all Utah had on offense. Every defense went into the games saying, “We have to stop Kincaid”, and it didn’t matter. He lit them up anyway.

Unfortunately, Kincaid will more likely than not be gone by the time Dallas is on the clock.
whats your take on his injury. sounds minor, but anytime you hear the words broken and back in the same sentence it's alarming.

Makes sense, they really loved him when he came to the Star during the season, he went to a Mavs game with the players, and Jerry even talked about how much he loved his momma, LOL!

Now that he had his workout and showed the Cowboys he is healthy again the two sides can work out a deal.

This is why they have been restructuring contracts to free up cap space.
No. We've been restructuring deals because they were designed to be restructured. Happens every year. Pay attention

Workouts and game-day (where you are getting hit at awkward angles) are completely different, you don’t offer a long term contract on a WR with that injury history. He’s a mercenary for hire now if you are close to a SH and need that extra push.

The guy is 30, coming off a major injury, and didn't play football last year. What could go wrong with this signing?

Our only chance at a significant free agent signing but I still would rather not.

I get your point my friend, but this is getting ridiculous.

If you got Lamb, Gallup, and OBJ at WR, that is probably one of the best WR cores in the entire league.

We have pumped tons of resources, money and draft picks including our first rounder last year, into the online. We just reworked Tyron's deal to bring him back too.

At HB we just franchised Pollard to bring him back, we probably use a high pick on another RB maybe even our 1st this year, and we are still talking to Schultz trying to bring him back.

Good oline, good HBs, good TEs, great WR core, ect.................So exactly how much surrounding talent does our $40 mill dollar QB need to get it done?
I am not saying we aren't dumping resources to help Dak.
I am realistic about who Dak is. Very good QB who can occasionally carry the team.

My point is that Dak NEEDS a great running game to be great. Running game is what brings out the best in Dak. If we just have Pollard, that won't be enough as Pollard isn't an every down back who will last the grind of NFL season. Dak needs a great running game more than he needs a great WR.

Just because we have more receiving weapons we should not neglect building a dominating running game.

The rb stuff doesn't work in the playoffs. Our supposed trash run d handled vaunted niners run game with McCaffrey.
Sure it does. You forget in Superbowl against the Bills Emmett Smith broke the Bills when he ran straight through their defense coming out of half time. That drive pretty much was all Smith won the game.

That being said. Running game ALONE will not get you to the promised land. Once you hit the playoffs all the teams are good. They all probably have good O and D so your team needs to have balance and be able to keep D off balance. One dimensional teams don't go far.

It would be really dumb to kiss his butt as much as we did last season and not sign him now.

If you are going to do it, do it quickly so we can get him working with our trainers ASAP.

(Just don't do 10 mill a year.)
I am OK with taking a flier on him.

I just worry Jerry gonna drop his pants and give him a really bad deal because he's been so desperate to get him.

That is a worry and the polar opposite is a worry for me....

We will get too cute with this, give him a moderate contract AFTER the date that you don't get docked potential compensatory picks(I think that is after the draft) just to get a comp pick lol

Thus sacrificing valuable rehab time with our staff.

Doesn’t mean nothing. Doesn’t mean much but it means more than nothing. You can clearly see the burst is still there. That alone means something.
The burst will be there….it’s the stopping, starting cutting and lateral movement against other world class athletes that will determine if it means anything.

Not running routes completely out in the open
