I was going to mention him, but, they're not finding him at Walmart.
Going to need to cough up $20M a year to get him. That would be an all in type of move. It would also make it very difficult to double team Micah all day long.

With Wilkins you don't need 2 specialist. You do need a DT to stop the run and another one to rush the passer. He can impact both at a high level and he was doing this in Miami as the top defensive player on their roster.

Wilkins and Micah together would wreak havic and make everyone else's job around them that much easier.

Paying Micah $30M a year just have him neutralized is absolute stupidity. If that is the plan you might as well trade him.

It is not Micah's fault he does not show up in big games, when we are playing good teams and they have a good plant to take him out of the game. Only way to fix that is to add another piece so they can no longer do that.

That is what good GM's do. They build a team that by acquiring players that complement each other.

I agree. We all know they are extending Dak, once they do, they'll have plenty of cap space. Will they do it? Probably not.

What do u mean how? Lol they can create any amount of cap space they want. There’s multiple level of dt available. If you’re asking how I think that they’d do better than this list? Well these guys listed above imo aren’t that much different than Hankins

Ok, a lot of players played under Guenther. Hurst had a whopping 1/2 a sack the last year they were together in Oakland. He’s since amassed 24 tackles and 1.5 sacks since 2021 with extensive time injured. Not really someone to hang your hat own!
You described the players we go after in free agency.

Injured past, not glaring stats, would’ve been first rounder without the heart issues. He is your typical Nick Hayden, Christian Covington, Cedric Thornton type player.

Oh I guess I did it wrong.

”They are going all in! Sign Chris Jones and Christian Wilkins!”

Wilkins is also an iron man. Has played 81 of 83 career games. Would be a great add, alas likely he stays in Miami or the cowboys won’t pay close to his ask. Everything you’re saying is totally accurate about him and his impact however

Yup. Jerry is doing to Micah same thing he did to Ware. And then some dummies blame it on the player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rumors are Miami did not extend him last year because they could not afford him. Maybe the unexpected increase in the salary cap changes that.

I’ll pass on those 3 on that list. None of those guys would do much of anything to change this defense. We need true difference makers.
a trash can full of diret in the middle would make a BIG difference and will not cost that much
Pass rush is NOT EVERYTHING as we learned last year and should have learned before
