Then at least you agree that public perception is important to him.
That has been my point about this, that is all that matters to him, can't spend all the money, ugly family is set for life but still ugly (that grandson is a fright show, looks like a killer of serial killers) so all he's got is the fact that he is the actual Star of his team. He has arrived, a legend that will be immortal.

Good . Then you understand why I think we have to keep the metal to the pedal because public perception is all he adheres to. And why he so often has to make his public pleas .

Do you think Booger sees himself as we see him or those people who seek his autograph, which I still don't understand. I might ask him for money but never his autograph.

I don’t think he cares but I think he understands the criticism and why he’s always responding to it . It’s just not usually what we want to hear.

He wouldn’t take it on if he wasn’t somewhat concerned about. It’s why he’s always selling and pumping it up. He’s said that apathy is always a concern especially it’s potential to effect revenue.

But I do understand why some want autograph. Like they would any celebrity. I have Stephen’s autograph on a Game Day program. He just happened to walk by me one day at the game.

And the times I ran into Jethro if I’d had a pen and something to sign I’d of asked for his autograph. And still would .

I am appalled and shocked and the idea of you getting your nemesis' autograph and the fact you have the Idiot Boy Child's shakes me to my very core.

Like many things I think I’ve been misunderstood on this forum. He was very cordial and appreciative the times I briefly visited with him.

My issues revolve around his football involvement.

And I’ll always be a football fan first.I’d take anyones autograph , even my most hated players around the league , etc.

I have a ton of autographs just never happened to have one of Jethro . Always bumped in to him unexpectedly. I’d never wait in line for him:)

I am not even getting into the root of the problem, who runs it.

1) Poor talent evaluation in free agency and the draft. You can have all of the McClay love you want, past the 1st round and in free agency, he is mediocre or they ignore him. OL 1st rounders? Nothing but net. After the 1st round? Airballs.

2) Satisfaction with just satisfactory results from coaching and players. They announce they are ready every season and how much they like their guys to the point of poor evaluation when rewarding them with a new contract and you can bet on it, they’re getting ready to do that again.

Real front offices, ones with jobs on the line, can never be satisfied. Both of the participants at the Big Dance continued to improve their teams and they both got meaningful contributions from those players and maybe if Beckham doesn’t get injured he is the MVP? The only other owner/GM in the league gave his people their assignment, fix that defense.

This front office only considers adding players when they have injuries or really poor playing and it has to be really poor. Upgrading never crosses their minds because they like their guys so much. What they are really saying is that they really like themselves so much.

3) Poor planning, if there really is any planning at all. This team continually gets caught off guard, with the cap, because of reason number 1. The Rams didn’t end up at the Big Dance by luck but by design and leaving no stone unturned and they were never satisfied. They traded for Stafford and Miller and added Beckham and do not make it without those moves.

There is a 4th fatal flaw. They see no reason to address 1-3 because true evaluation begins with self-evaluation. Good enough is good enough.
I only have a slight disagreement with your post and it concerns your first point. I think the talent evaluation is good. Getting the talent to play up to their potential is not. For some reason, Dallas players are now the poster boys for choking, totally disappearing and not playing up to their potential. It is only made worse when these underperforming players are paid like they are the among the best in the league at their position. Blame it on coaching , culture or a combination of both, but the results are consistently resulting in players that don’t show up when they are needed the most.
