It's clear some people don't have much regard for the Jones's because they are rich and some just hate rich people in general, make wise cracks about them at ever opportunity. I find it pathetic and disgusting to discriminated by class like that. Displaying class warfare behavior on these pages should be thwarted by the moderators. Why is it okay that many of you out there have appreciation for your favorite libation but when the Jones's do it they are "sloshed" and "alcoholics" in your opinion? The criticism was NO "honest mistake", it was intentional, malicious, and bigoted.

What is the backstory on the person that hit you?
White collar or blue collar?
Criminal history?
Age?
Smoker?
Were they driving their own car?
Car older than 10 years?
Etc..

Honestly The worst thing for me was my son having to sit beside me and yell at me and me not responding and him thinking I was dead. If you have kids I think we can agree that something like that isn't what you want. The only difference between the guy who hit us and Carroll is pure luck. That's the only thing that a seperates one's who don't get caught, get dwi or hit someone. How lucky are they they that night. Or how unlucky are the ones they hit. Its really not a huge issue with me lol. Cut him or not I'm not going to care much either way. I'm just saying imo they should cut him. It won't be the end of the world for me if they don't which I expect they won't. Either way my whole point is it won't be a 3m hit. It will be a 1m hit considering he's counting 2m now. With 14m coming today we could easily cut him with very little cap ramifications.

I'm all for making criminal punishments more severe for DWI but outside of work where driving is part of the job I don't see it as a reason for dismissal.

I respect that but I'll say this. If you were to get hit by one you're opinion more than likely would change. Maybe not.

It's just not practical. Culture needs to change such that so many productive worthy people don't do it.

Keep in mind that I will fight drunk friends after taking away their keys to stop them from DWI. It doesn't happen so much anymore now that I set expectations before the carousing begins but I doubt that my opinion would change. I just take reality for what it is as opposed to what I want it to be.

I have experience with friends and family being involved in similar accidents some involving death.

Back story is incredibly important.

In all I can count 9 auto accidents involving family and friends being significantly injured with 4 deaths.

When I say backstory is important, I mean the people that caused the accidents had driving records or other history that made it predictable that they would do something stupid.

None of them were upstanding citizens with clean records that had a few too many drinks.
