We were bad because we had bad QBing with no RB the year before. We then drafted Zeke got decent QBing in Dak...and that changed. Romo could have led that team though....so you are right in saying we did have a good team...but that draft also uplifted the team.
We was bad because we had Garrett also as the coach. If Dak was bad as a lot on here claim, then that year would've been just as bad as the other year since Romo got injured again. My point is Dak was and still is a damn good QB.

#1 overall pick Caleb Williams...
14-29, 93 Yds, 56 Passer Rating, 22 QBR

#2 overall pick Jayden Daniels...
17-24, 184 Yds, 2 Rush TD (1 in garbage time), 3 fumbles (0 lost), 93 Passer Rating, 42 QBR

#12 overall pick Bo Nix...
26-42, 138 Yds, 2 Int, Rush TD, 47 Passer Rating, 30 QBR

Just for fun, let's throw in last year's #1 overall pick too!

#1 overall pick Bryce Young...
13-30, 161 Yds, 2 Int, Rush TD, 33 Passer Rating, 11 QBR

Weird, huh?

It's almost like playing QB in the NFL is extremely difficult and drafting a QB in the 1st Round with the hopes that he'll be an elite franchise QB isn't very likely.

For every Mahomes or Josh Allen there's a dozen flameouts or more. Playing QB Lottery in the draft every few years and hoping to strike oil isn't much of a strategy.

I won't embarrass the dude who said it's "easier than ever" to find a QB nowadays, but hopefully he sees this and learns something.
I'm guessing your agenda is to defend the decision to keep Dak?

It does.

It also proves teams DO go out there and get rookie QB's...regardless of transition or risks. It's how the business works. Just jump into it and let the cards fall. With as much diligence as possible of course not recklessly.

Rookie Dak went to a very good team. Not many #1 (or so) QB's get such luxury.

(CAVEAT: I have said over and over Dak played pretty dang good for "surprise" start.)

LOL, what?

Dak sucked vs Green Bay and was a huge reason we got slapped around that day. I've never once denied that or made excuses for him.

Here's the part where you feel silly for hyping a QB who trailed 37-13 until scoring late yesterday.
Well it's 8 months late but thanks for finally admitting what we all saw

Nothing silly about having lower expectations for a rookie making his first start vs a vet in his 9th year making more than anyone in NFL history

There's like 4 QBs in the entire NFL who have won a Super Bowl as a starting QB.

Why hasn't every other team tossed their QB in the trash?

Would you pay Josh Allen if you were running the Bills?
No I would not, he is a turnover machine. He has proven that.

Favre was a turnover machine as well; he did win a SB but only one. and late in his career he was throwing picks like tossing candy to kids in a parade

You have to remember these guys are on bad teams, for the most part. Also, it Week 1 so more data is needed before any chest poking out behavior has any validity. Besides, Dallas has their QB.

LOL, as if the Bears, Commanders or Broncos had a Dak Prescott already in their buildings.

Those teams would love it if their rookie QBs become as good as Dak is.

How do you even try to justify letting Dak walk BEFORE we have his replacement ready? How does that make any sense?

Mahomes didn't start his rookie year. That may have helped him. I'm not surprised the rookie QBs who played this Sunday didn't do too well.
There aren't a lot of Dak's and Marino's around. ;)

I don't know if you're confusing me with someone else, but I've never made excuses for Dak's terrible play in that game.

He was beyond atrocious in the 1st half. Totally fair to say he choked.

Not sure who would ever say that, these are rookie QBs we are talking about. Limited practices and playing time in the PS. Coupled with going to inferior teams . Recipe for a tough learning curve. Today’s QBs are even more of a crapshoot because they all don’t have great arms or accuracy and require superior coaching.

Even vet QBs struggled this weekend.
You're proving every single "Dak Supporter's point"

Difference is I know Dak sucked in that game.

These guys are saying Daniels played well! Do you agree with them?
No wasn’t that good it’s the use of garbage stats that should apply equally to all. Good game mostly Sunday hopefully I get the NO game Sunday have a good week

I'm not trying to justify anything. YOU...are.

All I am saying is teams do it...you even said so yourself. You arguing with YOURSELF? Weird.

Edit...okay NOT weird...you are looking for fights I see. Tough guy!
