When youre about to pay your QB 30 mil a year you better make sure he is protected.

I get what you are saying Omer but you are missing the point. Marinelli has done nothing to earn what people say about him.

Apparently you missed what I said because I agreed with you that he isn’t turning “bums into Pro Bowlers” as you said, yet you are arguing with me about him merely doing a good job of making do with those players.

I don't think he's even doing a good job. If a guy comes in as a jag. Plays as a jag and leaves as a jag. Your coaching was ok.

We are so ***... We wasted a second round on Williams last year, now we drafted a guard in the 3rd round after making Martin the highest paid guard in the league?

Collins probably won’t be resigned at RT. If this guy plays G and Conner kicks out to OT, we just saved a ton on money on the OL. He also gives us cheap insurance at C in the event that Fredbeard can’t go.

Then draft an OL or sign a vet OL in 2020.

Drafting now for a potential roster opening in two seasons isn’t wise IMO.
There's also no guarantee that if Dallas drafted a 3rd round safety, that he would be a day one starter either.

If we drafted a safety at 58 or 90 that can't start over iloka or heath. They picked the wrong player

And Collins will net us a good comp pick as well

So, you are telling me Mayowa was the same value in Oakland with 1 sick as he was I on Dallas with 6 sacks. That’s nonsense. If a guy plays better than any other place he has he has played before or since, something about that place got more out of him. Doing well with a player doesn’t mean you turn a Ford Escort into Maserati, it just means you get the best out of that Ford Escort that is possible.

He didn't play better he just played more. like you said he only had 1 sack the next year and couldn't get on the field. He had 4 sacks with arizona the next year.

OK Mel Kiper, put a name to this 3rd round S that you guarantee would start for the Cowboys.
I actually didn't like the safeties that were left. I wanted thornhill in the worst way. Maybe gardner-johnson could be an impact guy. I liked the kid from bc that went at pick 84. Don't know if he would have started tho.

How about randy gregory? Greg hardy? David Irving? Ty Craw? Maliek Collins? Charles Tapper? Taco? Joey Ivie who he jumped up and down for? There's way more bad out there then good my friend. Marinelli sucks.

You have mistakenly identified me as a Marinelli fan. Im not, Im simply trying to be objective. He's had his positives. Wasn't it 2014 when he took a defense coming off a historically bad season and made them competitive? Anyways Im personally ready to turn the defense over to Richard. That doesn't limit me to thinking Marinelli is a turd though.

That 2014 defense sucked. It was carried by an 1,800 yard rusher. They were never on the field. Then couldn't stop a 1 legged aaron rodgers.

Lael Collins will either price himself out of Dallas playing well or be replaced for being inconsistent. Connor Williams shifts out to RT and McGovern slides in at G.

Makes a lot of sense.

Exactly...………….they are not resigning Lael Collins, either due to being too expensive or too inconsistent.

So that means Connor Williams moves to RT and McGovern takes over at LG.

Plus, he can play C, RG, and LG...………..all it takes is one play and somebody tears an ACL and is gone for the year. You can never have too many offensive linemen.

Good pick.

Don't like this pick at all. We picked a backup G to possibly start in 2020 when we possibly move last years second round pick to tackle?

How does this help us this year?

He is insurance this year...………….Frederick might not be able to go a full 16 and somebody is one play away from tearing an ACL.

McGovern can play all three of the interior spots, LG, C, and RG...…………...that type of versatility is huge in the NFL. Odds of all five linemen making it through the season uninjured is not very high.

So he is depth in 2019 and probable starter at LG in 2020.
