Garrett's. Expression. Never. Changes.

Stephen is wearing a purple shirt! Another indication AD is coming! It's a sign!

I have been saying for weeks that I think there is a good possibility Dallas trades down and gets an extra 2nd rounder.

I seem to remember yourself and many others last season singing the same song. Just keep in mind: If you (or anyone else from this forum) were at that press conference on the podium with those three, you'd still be the dumbest guy in the room. That's not a slam on you, personally, or anyone else. It's just the facts.

It's easy to sit back and be a critic. The job of a critic is that of a coward. They don't have to invest anything. Their decisions or opinions have, literally, no effect on the world or how it works. It's a license to ***** and whine with no repercussion. I would think with how stupid some posters looked after last season that they might be smart enough to keep a lid on the trap and see how this whole thing pans out before claiming that the FO or coaching staff is "in fact dumb". I guess some people are just really slow learners. Ya can't fix stupid (or stubborn), I suppose.
Someone told me once, the people who are too afraid to try and acheive anything of note themselves, are the ones who are the most critical of others who are trying to acheive goals.

The ones who have tried themselves know the difficulty that comes with that and so they are more hesitant to make definitive statements of judegment against others.

That's good. Rings true too. I may ask to steal it one day from you.

And predicting a trade down does not exactly make you Karnac.
Seriously... He has to supply the teams and picks involved.
And wear the funny hat and take a selfie for us to witness and notarize.

Only then will he be able to pat himself on the back come Draft Daze.

Good call.

Probably saying they won't overreact and reach for a RB. The Cowboys bring in who they want to draft for visits and they brought in a ton of CBs and nearly every Rd 1-2 projected RB. I seriously doubt if a RB is not picked by Rd 3 and probably by Rd 2.

This team loves them some corners! We have picked 2 decent guys in how many years? Oscan and Newman. Who else has been worth a crap?

None. Seems that they do better (Scandrick) when they are not trying so hard to get the "best one". If you look back at recent drafts the "number one" CB is not exactly what they are cracked up to be as a professional.

Justin Gilbert, Dee Milliner, Claiborne, Leotis McKelvin, Tye Hill, Pacman Jones and DeAngelo Hall failed to live up to their draft status.

Only Peterson, Haden and Revis bucked the trend.

Point is saying you have been saying they will trade down for weeks is not exactly insightful. Jones' pattern pretty much dictates he is moving one way or another.

My intentions wasn't trying to be insightful. Just pointing out that I think it remains one of the likely decisions that some people don't think Dallas will do.

I fully expect a CB to be the first pick we make. I think with Scandrick suddenly holding out and Carr having them by the short hairs they want to bring in a rookie CB they can force to start right away to give them leverage to either cut Carr or force the pay cut. You know these guys don't like Carr telling them he won't take a pay cut and them being in a position to have to take it.

They are in fact that dumb. Don't kid yourself. There is no diverion or anything.

I definitely think that we would like to draft a RB, if we like and is very close to the BPA on our board. I just don't think we will go in saying we have to draft one if the things fall where we would have to reach for a guy.

I'm actually okay with that. We got Fredericks and Martin using this strategy, so it's been pretty effective. Given how deep the draft is I'd wouldn't mind at all seeing us drop into the 2nd round and having 4 picks in the first 3 rounds.

That would be optimal, as to do what we say we want to do, add more talent to the defense, you need a few extra choices.

I consider it a fat draft, not necessarily deep. There is a nice bubble of talent that figure to go in the 2-3 range, but then it drops off.

Bad thing is, I do not think Dallas has the market cornered on teams at the back end of the first looking to bail out.

But you watch New England will end up trading out and scooping up choices this year and in future years.

For whatever reason, we never seem to be able to do it to their level and have not been able to since the 1990s. We make trades here and there, but usually it is with inexperienced GMs like Phil Savage.

I guess for some reason, Jerry Jones does not have the same bargaining and trading power as Belichick. It is all about relationships.

Obviously, you don't meet with nearly every running back in the draft to ignore them all on draft day. Team will go BPA, chances are that will be a RB in the first 3 rounds since it is such a deep position this year.
