Because you might have gotten him much later.

People like to poo poo this stuff but where you take a player is fairly important too.

It was said they liked Isaiah Johnson, the CB from Houston. Possibly took Pollard thinking Johnson would be there a few picks later. He wasn’t and we traded out.
After the 3rd round, it's a complete crappshoot. Where you take a player after the 3rd round is almost irrelevant.

• Dunbar/Beasley/Switzer/Austin hybrid.

• Will provide good rotational depth and give us much-needed positional flex.

• Possible first-year starter on special-teams.

• Camp-body potential: exceptional.

Zeke is the best back in the league but he’s transformed into a power back.

Pollard gives us an element we haven’t had in a couple of years.

In his past 546 carries (2017-2018), Zeke’s longest carry is 41 yards.

I really like this pick.

Remember how producing Dunbar was, for the games he was actually healthy?

This guy can do that for us.

Plus we need more guys who can give us something in the return game.

Like the player, but not the position in the fourth.

Would you have rather picked an RB earlier or later than the fourth? I felt like the third or fourth round was the right time to start looking for an RB. We need a solid replacement in the event Zeke goes down and to take some of the workload off him. Not saying Pollard will be solid we’ll just have to see but the longer you wait the odds go down on finding a good player at the position.

Interesting pick. They've been saying they wanted a complete back, and maybe they do, but they prioritize taking a guy who can do everything (including special teams).

It sure does sound they could have waited to take him, but hey, what do us "draft experts" know? Maybe they heard some whispers, who knows.

He's 30 pounds less than Zeke. Based on what Ive seen on him he was used like a scatback. We will see. I think it was a good upgrade to what we've had both running and receiving. Could be something special in the return game.

No, he was used as a versitile back, which does not automatically make him a scatback. And he is listed at 18 LBs less than Zeke is listed on the Cowboys website. Mind you, I’m not saying he is comparable to Dak in size and strength, I’m just saying he isn’t a small scatback either.

We have enough to beat the Eagles with my Mom as the 58th and my Dad at 90.

Go play on your own boards. It's draft day 3 for chrissakes.

Cmon, I didn’t think 58 and 90 were THAT bad of picks. You’re being too hard on them
