It's much easier if you break the schedule down in 5 game segments

If you go 5-0 in all 3 segments

You can skip game 16

better to use 4 game segments, 4x4=16

5-0 is possible but very unlikely for the cowboys, and most other teams.

Week 1:Vs Giants 5-11 (were 3-5 on road) new HC and new Def players.
Week 2 :At Commanders 9-7 *P (was 6-2 @ home)
Week 3 :Vs Bears 6-10 (were 5-3 on road) so good on the road
Week 4:At 49ers 5-11 (was 4-4 @ home) not bad for 5-11 team
Week 5 Vs Bengals 12-4 *P (was 6-2 @ home and on road) 3-1 vs NFC
Week 6 At Packers 10-6 *P (was 5-3 @ home)

*P playoffs

Click bait, but it worked since we're on page 3. Very hard to imagine us 5-0. I really see 3-3 after 6, so either 2 or 3 wins in the first 5

I think Dallas is going to be suprised week 1 vs the giants.

It will be a tough game but they won't surprise anyone. If the Giants win it wouldn't be a shock or a surprise...but they aren't winning. Lol.

With what little pass rush we have suspended the first 4 games good luck on a 5-0 start.

I just think they're going to be a lot better than people think. But just because they got a lot of good players doesn't mean it'll mesh like the Eagles dream team lmao!

Nothing wrong with expectations but the tendency is to go overboard with the Cowboys despite the lack of success the team has had the past two decades.

Agreed. My only thing is new coach. Sometimes takes a few games to gel to their real potential even if they hired in house. Could be wrong though.

The lack of success the last 2 decades has nothing to do with this season. This year the team will be more like the 12-4 2014 club. While repeating that record won't be easy, it's clear we still have the talent to win a lot of games.

The lack of success the past two decades shows a consistent pattern due to having a mediocre defense year after year. That 12-4 team from 2014 is long gone. Romo is 2 years older and is coming off an injury plagued season. Our pass rush looks weaker than ever. We're not going to be repeating a 12-4 season anytime soon. If Romo stays healthy and the running game is as good as it appears it might be I can see 9-10 wins PROVIDED the defense is better than last year.

If the D stays the same or gets worse we'll struggle to win 8 games even if Romo plays a full 16 games. You can't put it all on your offense and expect to win consistently. Our D is going to have to step up by providing a pass rush and make stops when games are on the line or it will be up to the offense to put up a lot of points and win games every week.

The defense will be better probably much better. Replacing Hayden and Wilcox as starters, getting OScan back on the field, Crawford healthy all instantly make it better.

Who's going to provide a pass rush especially the first 4 games? Scandrick is back but is coming off a serious injury so it remains to be seen where his game is. He was part of our secondary that got absolutely toasted in 2013. He may be the best corner we have but he still isn't anything special. This is one of the least talented defenses I can remember the Cowboys having in quite some time. Players are going to have to step up for this defense to be worth a damn.

Given roster turnover, 5 years ago isn't really an indicator. KJJ is a sophist. He has his conclusions and then forces the issue with confirmation bias and wishful thinking.
