And you know this for a fact?

Yes I do. Not opinion. Fact. Anyone that knows football knows there isn't a snowballs chance in hell Dallas beats the Eagles week 2. I don't care how healthy Romo, Dez and the defense are...not gonna happen.

I'm a Cowboys fan genius. And as a Cowboys fan I don't need to see into the future to know they won't beat the Eagles week 2. It's amazing how clueless you are.

I don't have time for your freaking insults. I have no further use for your brainless crap. Go back to the Eagles board troll, stop acting like a Dallas fan.

until this team can figure out a way to build a top ten defense they will not be competing in the playoffs. in 2014 their defense could not stop a one legged qb. last year they couldn't get stops or turnovers whatever the reason. there record was 4 and 12 I know lots of us want to believe they are much better than that but until they prove different that's what they are.

I just want to get through Training Camp and the Preseason healthy, then I'll look to the Giants ballgame and hope for a win in week 1. I like the way the schedule sets up this year, but we are just as apt to go 2-3 than 5-0.

This year the team will be more like the 12-4 2014 club.

How do you know that? How do you know Romo will play at least 15 games in 2016? How do you know we'll have the leagues leading rusher that will blow away his competition in 2016? How do you know we'll have 2 players receive MVP votes in 2016? How do you know we'll force as many turnovers as we did in 2014? In 2014 we didn't start the season with our 2 starting DEs suspended the first 4 games.

If Romo goes down an extended period this years team we'll be more like last years team. A lot of things have to go our way to be more like the 2014 team. The Cowboys may end up being a good team this season but Romo is going to have to stay healthy most of the season and our defense is going to have to step up and improve at least some over what we've seen.

Was waiting for someone to catch on to what you were doing there.

btw:igglestrophy:

Califan007 gets all the credit for noticing the blunder. I saw his post and ran with it. Now I firmly believe if healthy we beat the Eagles week 8 and again week 17.

I think Dallas won the last 3 home games against your Giants. Also your Giants have never beat Dallas home or away in an opening day game. Dallas is like 7-0 or 8-0
If we could have NY on the schedule the 1st 5 games, and treat every game as the first game, we would get to that 5-0 opening record...:muttley:

I'm not a giants fan. I just see them well improved and Dallas didn't improve. Also Dallas always starts the season bad and unprepared.

The lack of success the last 2 decades has nothing to do with this season.

It shows a consistent pattern since we won our last SB in 1995. Since that championship the Cowboys have only won 3 playoff games and haven't gotten past the second round of the playoffs and you think the 2016 team can surpass what we've been seeing the past two decades? What exactly do you see in this team in JUNE that makes you think it's going to be different this season? I'm not saying the Cowboys won't have a good team in 2016 but what did you see last season that tells you this team is on the brink of something special?

You're quoted as saying this team will be more like the 2014 team so what can you point to that makes you think that? Sounds like typical FAN talk to me because I don't see anything that makes me think this group is capable of a 12-4 season and doing better than one playoff win. It's going to be a real challenge to make the playoffs with Romo aging and missing games the past 3 seasons and not having our 2 starting DEs for the first 4 games. There's the potential for a rough start if we can't mount some resemblance of a pass rush and our defense struggles to get off the field.

We're in a two decade rut of not being able to get past the second round of the playoffs and you think 2016 will be different? Jerry has a system in place that has kept the Cowboys from reaching the playoffs consistently and from going deep when they do make the playoffs. Once Romo is done last season may be the norm until we find our next franchise QB. There's no excuse for only making the playoffs 4 times the past 10 years with as productive a QB as Tony Romo.

Even as consistently good as Romo has been over his career he's not able to overcome some of the issues that keep occurring with this team especially on the defensive side of the ball. Even Jerry has said he wishes the rest of the team could play as well as Romo. Jerry was caught in a vulnerable moment and gave a honest comment that points to the "team" not being very good.

Romo is the only player that keeps this team competitive. Without him in 2011, 2012 and 2013 we would have been a 3-4 win team at best those seasons. Tony Romo is the Dallas Cowboys and last years 1-11 record without him clearly shows it. We're 1-14 without him the past 3 seasons. There's probably not a team in the entire league that's worse than the Cowboys without their starting QB.

If you are comparing who they played with in 2015, Dallas should be the most improved team in the entire league.
No other team can say they
  • added back a Pro Bowl QB (Romo)
  • added back a Pro Bowl WR (Bryant)
  • added back their best CB (Scandrick)
  • vastly upgraded their DT w/ Thornton
  • vastly upgraded their overall RB position (Elliott/Morris/DMC)

Dallas would've lost week 1 last year if they didn't get bailed out on a pi call. If I was a giants fan that call would've pissed me off big time. Mad me bitter as a Cowboys fan because I hate winning like that.
