5 Coaches Who Could Take the Cowboys to the Next Level

As long as old Jerry is around, no coach, whoever it was, would win anything.

Stop killing yourselves with these assumptions.

Why not list a guy like Mike Tomlin.
- He is only 54 years old and is a very experienced NFL HC.
- He would be available.
Tomlin is one of those guys that is so stubborn that the league has passed him by. He may be 54, but he coaches like he’s 74.

He and Eberflus were the last two coaches to run a Tampa 2 defense.

He’s known as a bit of a career killer for his coaches because his DCs have no power or authority and he treats offense like it’s the 1940s.

He hasn’t had a good assistant on his staff since Arians left 15 years ago.

His Steelers also haven’t won a playoff game since the 2016 season.

The league solved Mike Tomlin long ago and all he does now is win in the regular season

Sleeper candidate….Dan Quinn

Not saying it should be, but he hits the Jerry requirements and could be fired this year.

Then we still wouldn't be able to stop the run again. Quinns defenses here were trash unless we had a lead. They got gashed in the running game as well.

This!!!! You could have Jimmy Johnson as your head coach, Bill Walsh as your offensive coordinator, and Bill Belichick as your defensive coordinator.

As long as Jerry is running the team operations, it would be the same results again.

What top-tier college coach would leave their high-paying college gig to coach the Dallas Cowboys, one of, if not the most dysfunctional organization in the NFL…and for less money? The Cowboys just don’t have that type of cachet except in Jerry’s mind.
Jerry has shown time and time again that he does not hold coaching in high regard. Jerry believes he has this uber-talented team and that any coach can come in and be successful. And there is 30 years of outcomes to disprove that theory.
Dallas fans need to accept the fact that no up-and-coming, innovative football coach will ever be hired. Teams serious about winning get Campbell, Vrabel and Johnson, while Dallas gets Garrett, Phillips and now Shotty.

There is no coach, living or dead, who would be given the opportunity or time to do what needs to change the culture of this organization.

At this point I don't care who the next head coach is. Time to move on from Schooty and it can't happen soon enough.

As long a Jerry is calling the short, I don't believe any coach can get this team to the next level. Jerry will not hire the type of coach needed.

Remember the criteria is that a head coach must have smelled the place in a prior capacity. Meaning Jerry will not hire one that hasn’t worked with the Cowboys before.

Only 5 huh? According to Jerry i believe he felt around 500 to get this team to a championship. LOL.....what an idiot. And that's when the downfall began.

No head coach who has ever won a Super bowl for one team has ever replicated the same for another team . No Ex Super Bowl winning coaches for me thank you. Besides,.......Im not out on Shotty yet,....still in his corner. Now CP? I want him gone asap. With all the time money and resources thrown at the defense there is no way on Earth our D should be anywhere close to THIS BAD. He's got to go.
Its true. Andy Reid could never win the Superbowl in Philly. But he won a lot while there.

It would never happen but I would pay money to see what would happen if jerry tried to interfere if cignetti was the coach.

Thank you! Zero interest in him.
