Wright will not be cut. For a big dude he shows plenty of speed and has basically been right there with the receivers, now he just needs to learn to always be looking for the ball. The coaches seem to like him too. Ain’t going anywhere! Joseph plays the receiver right up at the line of scrimmage, he made some plays last night. He ain’t going anywhere either.

He isn't getting cut. They typically carry 6-7 CBs and he's clearly one of the Top 7.

But the hype over him is too much. He's not very good and is best suited to a role as deep backup CB and special teams player.

I agree. Hill has CLEARLY matured in many ways and is coming into his own. The light came on. Many cant understand how difficult it is in the NFL to cause a strip-sack fumble-recovery. Its a trifecta. Very hard, especially from the DT position. Hill gets an A+ for his awareness and degree of difficulty. In real games, those little things are momentum changers. I feel we need 2 trade someone now because we are so deep at dline. Ridge might actually be a surprise cut. He been trash in these first 2 games. He made the team last night. Dude has been paying attention in film study.
Wright might get cut. He's a bust. But as u say, he might get saved because of his ST value.

I am not at all impressed with Wright or Ridgeway. They should be PS players. And we do not need to be concerned with any team poaching them.

There are 11 DL worthy of making the roster. I hope they keep them as opposed to keeping a 3rd QB. Our backup QB's are not 3 deep. Heck are they even 2 deep.
They could trade one to a team heavy in OL if they need a DT.

Another option, is Watkins or Basham worth keeping, as they probably will keep Golston since he too was a draft pick.

And for those wanting Joseph cut or thinks this team thinks low of him...notice the corners he guards and notice who they let the other young corners guard. Was Joseph not on the Chargers best receiver last night?
The Chargers best receivers didn't play.

He's getting schooled by 4th and 5th stringers.

Same thing applies to Joseph. IF you liked him enough last year with a 2nd round grade than you should still like him a year later. Now if you want to say you want to cut him because of the personal issues? That I can understand. But he's not getting cut because he's struggling at corner.
I don’t think this staff loves Joseph. I think he just so happened to be the best corner available at the time.

We wanted Surtain or Horn. Thankfully we landed Parsons as he is as elite as it comes.

I really believe they wanted Trevon Moehrig who went one pick before Joseph. Once again, another one that went in our favor because we have Kearse, Hooker, IM and now Ball.

Asante Samuel Jr., was the other corner selected around Joseph. Most draft pundits slotted him as a slot corner specifically. So that almost eliminated him from us.

I think he was just their best overall player on the board.

Other than the obvious in #2 and #24 I thought #52 Tufua and #94 Bronson had decent games. I'm not too fond of #25 and #75 needs to go. Grier should win the back up qb spot. Kicking was not too bad either.
Tufua earned the right to stay around til the last preseason game. Bronson is a big body Greg Ellis guy. BIG DE. He earned a right to stick around 1 more week.

I want Tufua and Bronson 2 play like 3 quarters next week. Lets see what we got. We have a Surplus of talented linebackers and dlineman suddenly. I see a couple trades happening this week.

We heard you the first time. You don't really know what you're talking about.

I don't want to overreact to one game. But I do see a couple of trends emerging.

Ball is still learning. He messes up too much right now but it is his first game experience since being drafted. I would not give up on him just yet. His run blocking is better than his pass protection. Let's see if he shows any improvement as the season progresses.

Farniok is better than Biadasz. Every game he plays I watch him and he just looks like he is better at moving people off the LOS when he plays. Perhaps some of the nuances of playing Center he has not mastered yet, but just in terms of pure blocking, I think he is better. Not great, but better than Biadasz. He looks bigger, stronger and more active than Biadasz.

The young guys are going to make mistakes. Up one week, down another. Bland looked good last week, not so good this week. He does play with excitement which is a big plus but he needs time too. The starting CBs are Diggs, Lewis and Brown and I think the Cowboys have solid backups in Joseph and Bland if anyone gets hurt. The more experience these two get in preseason the better players they will become. I think Wright is okay in the right defensive scheme. But yeah, not a 3rd round pick.

The Cowboys have some talent at Safety for a change. This will make a big difference against the run.

Jabril Cox is another player who looks really good on one play then misses on another. I think he is up more than down and he will be a good player as he gains experience. He has a lot of speed.

I like where the Cowboys DTs are this year. It looks like they have some talent inside for a change. Bohanna looks like he has made a big leap forward this season. Hill just needs to stay healthy. I think their starting defense, once they are all on the field is going to be pretty good.

The Cowboys look like they might have a pretty good running game this year. I don't know what they will look like against the Eagles DL, or the Washington DL but they look pretty good against the two scrub squads they played the last two weeks.

The Cowboys WRs look really average to me. I know there is no CeeDee, but some of these guys are going to be playing week 1 against NFL starters and they look pretty average against scrubs so it does concern me. Of course Rush is not Dak.
** needs to be the starter week 1. Tyler B. can be a quality back up c/guard. Nuthin wrong with that at all. Tyler Smith aint ready yet. Let him watch and be the quality swing tackle we lack fr a few games. I think that is why McGovern is starting at LG. He is just slightly ahead of him. I think it might be smart to ease Tyler Smith in by mid year. Let him sit and learn. Plus he can fill a massive void we have at swing, rather than us signing a scrub off the street.

Should have taken Creed Humphrey instead of the rapper Joseph. The Joseph pick is sure looking like a whiff and a miss. Another forced pick and another miss.

That's not true Joshua Palmer and Guyton both started for them at times last year. Palmer is slated to play outside with Mike Williams and Keenan in the slot. Those were the two best receivers on the field last night on both teams.

There were better CB prospects than Kelden when they picked. They had him high on their board. IT wasn't luck they ended up with him that's the guy they wanted. Not over Surtain and Horn of course but over guys like Samuel for sure.

Yeah, well somebody has to be the best WRs on the field for either team, even in a preseason game.

That doesn't mean you're supposed to get schooled by them and look outclassed.

You're missing my point.

What I'm trying to get you to understand is look at who they have Joseph guarding and look who they have the other corners guarding. That will tell you what they think of him. If he's guarding the worst receiver on the field and not getting playing time that tells you all you need to know. If he's guarding the opposing teams best receivers they're then they're trying to get him ready for the season. Just like last preseason when he was guarding Christian Kirk. Gotta pay attention to this stuff.
