Big Kat had a sack against the Chargers.

Pay more attention.

Was that in the second half? I'll admit I stopped watching at the half - I found myself getting too excited about beating a team in the pre-season and didn't want to get carried away any further.

OK replace Big Kat with some other spare until we try to stash him in pre-season. Either way this cut day should not be hard at all.

Based on what they did in the first round of cuts, aka cutting a lot of the banged up guys and having them revert to IR (presumably deciding later whether to carry them to next season or come to an injury settlement now), I'm assuming Christian Sam and Alec Lindstorm will be among this week's cuts. Best I can tell, they 2 of the only players who didn't play this week due to injury, Jeremy Sprinkle being the other.

+1......Exactly why I'm not sure Rush is in trouble as Dak's backup ( at least not this season). In other words, if Dak goes down you don't lose as much of your playbook with Rush vs Grier or DiNucci.
It won’t matter which of the 3 it is if Dak goes down early and for the season. Or for a significant number of games. But for a 1, maybe 2, game fill in, Rush makes the most sense. He has the experience and has shown he can win with this team against all odds. The Nooch is the team’s version of Mike White. Actually, White might’ve been better. The Nooch is only here because of McCarthy.

James Empey (C)
Kyron Brown (CB)
Juanyeh Thomas (CB)
Big Cat Bryant (DE)
Quandre Mosely (CB)

There are 5 names I never even noticed playing in the last two games.
Bryant and Mosely played last week and were good. Bryant had a sack. Mosely had a nice pass break up or two.

LB Christian Sam, QB DiNucci, C Braylon Jones, DT Josiah Bronson, S Juanyeh Thomas

CB Neshawn Wright should go as well but I don't think they will do it in the first rd cuts.
Jones was told to clean out his locker after the game. He was real real real bad.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Sprinkle let go in this round.

Big Kat had a sack against the Chargers and was all over. Definitely a PS candidate.

Rush can go and just give reps to Grier.

I could see Rush and DiNooch getting the boot. That gives Greer the whole game, or they can test out someone for emergency QB duties. I'd also think some of the bottom WRs might be gone. Brandon Smith and Robinson being those two. Then the other cut likely, imo, would be Quandre Mosley.
