He's still better than mediocre.

Mediocre is your average Joe Shmo. Hes still above that. He can still pitch shut outs against top D Ends.

Plus he has familiarity with Demarcus Ware which helps him a ton.

If we release him I hope he goes anywhere but Washington.
Joe Shmo doesn't start at LT for most NFL teams...he's on the bench. Many teams have quality LTs.

Every OT gets the occasional shutout. Rob Petitti had no business in the league and yet he didn't give up a sack every single game he played.

At this point, Flozell has been the weakest link on a line that been very inconsistent. I don't see much danger in him going elsewhere in the division. At this point, and especially looking at where he'll be a year from now, he's no more than a stop gap player for anyone who picks him up.

Shanahan is not picking up Flozell Adams.
I would suspect he'll go young across the board, but he might go after a few veterans, especially at LT so he can give whatever QB he gets a fighting chance.

Who cares if Washington signed Flo?

Yeah I like Flo. Yeah he's been a darn great LT for a long time now. But, seriously, I wouldn't cry if he went to Washington and killed their cap for a couple of years cause they'd sign him to big dollars for a guy whose getting very old now.

Ware would destroy Flo. As would Spencer.

He's shown interest in Flo in the past.

When?

And when could he have? We drafted Flo, and extended him twice before his contract was up. I don't really remember any trade rumors around him, so kind of curious on this.

I could see McNabb going to Cleveland with Holmgren installing the WCO there as a bridge QB as they groom someone behind him. I've heard Marty Mornhinweg is a HC candidate there.

It was awhile back. Probably 5 years ago.

Edit:

Offensive line may get Page - Denver Post - Adam Schefter
Tuesday, March 25, 2003 - PHOENIX - When NFL free agency kicked off last month, the first player the Denver Broncos offered millions was Dallas offensive tackle Flozell Adams.

Thats all I could find but it happened.

This is no shock to me. I said it on Monday. The reid/mcnabb era has run it's course and Reid has already recieved an extension. Mcnabb isn't getting any younger and the fanbase has had it with both, but mcnabb is the one who's going to be sent packing.

Cool thanks. Granted that was a much younger more athletic Flo, but I stand corrected. I didn't think Flo hit the market when his first contract was up.

The only way it helps is if they learn to run the ball effectively because nobody will run that Offense as good as McNabb and his ability to buy time in the pocket will be gone on top of that.

Garcia ran it better by far! Just need a little mobility

do NOT fool yourself....McNabb is a HOFer. In the Super Bowl era the NFC East has been the BEST division and it is not even close. All of the teams in the NFC East have been to the super bowl. All of the teams EXCEPT Philly have won 3+ Super Bowls. To be in the NFC championship game 4 years in a row is no small feat.

I am not so sure he is a HOF

McExcuse will be fired up for Saturday. :banghead:

Hopefully it will just cause more pressure.

McNabb, while not as bad as Cunningham under pressure is just too inconsistent. His inconsistency is why they need the big plays to score.

I agree with McNabb. He wouldn't throw anyone under the bus...............because he would either overthrow or underthrow the bus.

:laugh2:

That was great, and it deserves some more attention.

I said it once, earlier this year, on this board: Kevin Kolb is the best QB on the Eagles roster.

Count me in as hoping they keep McChunk.

If McNabb makes the HOF based on what he's done so far, it just further proves what a joke the whole thing is.

He is nowhere near a HOF QB. He's been an up and down player who at times has played really well, but is also still a model of inconsistency.

Jim Johnson had alot mroe to do with the Eagles succes in the 90's than McNabb did, and when McNabb got hurt they put in guys like AJ Feeley and Jeff Garcia and didnt miss as beat.

Right now his numbers are comparable to Jim Kelly's, but at least Kelly went to 4 SBs even if he didn't win one. No way a bunch of Division Championships (most of which he lost) should count nearly as much.

If McNabb doesn't win a SB - and if he gets booted from Philly this year I don't think he gets another chance - I don't think he has the stats or hardware to get in.

wouldn't suprise to see him end up in DC

ouch that would be an upgrade for the skins. No doubt when mcnabb is on he can play. remember that play on monday/sunday night football where he avoided the sack and through a pass.

we've been hearing crap like this for years. McNabb will be an Eagle next year whether they win or lose on Saturday night.
