This " high draft pick" nonsense is laughable... you play to win the game, hello... running the table seems unlikely...
but it sure would be fun to witness... the last thing I want to do is hope to continue losing... those "fans", for lack of a better word, suck.
Do I think Romo will lead this team to a 7 game run and the SB?... No... but I'm not going to root against them either.

IF this team pulled off 7 wins in a row and won the East, Romo should be a shoe in for league mvp.

Doubtful. While I think it would be deserving, there are players who would be deserving and didn't miss time. You can't just give it to a guy because he missed time.

I mean, Tom Brady could have the best season of his career. Considering what he has done, if that's not worthy of an MVP then nothing is.

Ok, that's it. I've had enough Internet for the night.

Doesn't it stand for "most VALUABLE player"? Romo proves his value to this team beyond a shadow of a doubt if we win the next seven. The patriots have already proven they can win without Tom Brady.

Romo was robbed of the MVP last year... but yeah, this year it should be Brady with a tip of the cap to Cam Newton.

Yes, and it's subjective. One thing you can bet on is the king of the stat hill getting the greatest amount of consideration.

You can't say he was robbed. It's not like Aaron Rodgers didn't dominate. Perhaps if so much credit hadn't been given to the running game (right or wrong) Romo would have won it.

Maybe "robbed" is the wrong word but he led the league in passer rating and there were several other stats that players
reached in the past and won mvp... he was the first not to.

I think it will happen if we beat Miami.

We have numerous serious challengers to play besides Miami, such as Carolina, Green Bay and others. I'm not saying it can't or won't happen but I'm pretty certain the odds don't at all favor us running the table. As much as I'd love to see that happen, I'll be keeping my expectations at arm's length for the rest of the regular season.

I'd be curious if it's ever happened before. Has a team ever lost 7 in a row and then turned around and won 7 in a row? That would seem extremely unlikely.

Obviously if we're going to win 7 in a row we have to beat Miami first, but I know what you mean... this Miami game is the most important, and I actually expect a playoff type atmosphere, which is strange for a game featuring a 4-5 team hosting a 2-7 team... There's a lot of pressure on Romo to play well, but I think he'll deliver on his end...

No, I'm a realist. This season was completely wasted and it's utterly and completely idiotic to think that we're suddenly going to go on a run and make the playoffs.

The only saving grace for this season would have been to get a top draft pick out of it. But unfortunately our ownership, and too many of our fans, are far too idiotic to realize that is the best case for this team going forward.

I've been a Cowboys fan for well over 30 years now and it's frustrating to see us get on these stupid "moral victories" at the end of the season that don't do anything to improve our team. Had they won just a game or few during Romo's absence then my attitude would be different. But these mental midgets couldn't even do that.

That just goes to show that Jerruh truly isn't interested in winning at the end of the day but rather dangling the carrot in front of the fans face just enough to get them to continue opening up their pocket books and keep buying the garbage that they put out on the field. And guess what, this year will be no different.

The question remains. Why do you even bother to come here and post? It's over and all. What is the point of your posts? Do you not like the fact that some believe? Why?
These aren't rhetorical questions. I actually want to understand your motive. It seems like odd behavior and I'm curious about it.

Thanks.

Current odds for us making the playoffs is 5%. That's 20 to 1. You gotta bet against us if money is on the line. But it isn't. As a fan I will root every week for a win. Concerning the draft that it a bit illogical as a high draft pick doesn't guarantee success. Picking a few slots down is about the same odds. You miss at 9 but hit at 15.

Romo is going to get us some wins. We've won 7 in a row several times in our history. With three teams ahead of us and a suspect secondary it will be tough. But I'm not sure the others will fall back to us some.

Fan = fanatic not hopeless.

Miami game's gonna be tough. Thank God Romo's back, but will rust show? McFadden's banged up and is questionable. I've grown to love the guy. He's been a workhorse exploiting holes, though he struggled in the last game. We may end up relying on a running back who didn't even start the season on this team. Mo is out. Lee is probable, and I'm crossing my fingers he plays the whole game. There are lots of ifs. This next game is winnable. I want the win, but it's not anywhere near a shoe-in. As for the 7 straight thing, I'm not even thinking that far ahead. I just want a win against Miami and will worry about the rest later.

It's fine to post a negative comment or so in a thread. We have a good team but have sucked at winning. The reasons are obvious and Romo fixes much of it. If you are going to repeatedly be negative in a thread then your comments are likely to be deleted at some point. It's pointless to repeat your position over and over and creates friction with others.

If you present constructive reasons for failure you're contributing as long as you don't keep repeating that either. Same goes for deliberate 'sunshine pumping'. A few retorts to repetitively negative posters is fine. Don't keep doing that either.

Every side of the coin deserves to be heard. Don't derail threads though. Say what you want then leave it at that. Repeating yourself over and over is annoying at the least. /mod off
