A 7 year QB Starter should elevate a team

The offensive line played well on Sunday.
They did not. The run blocking was acceptable though most of the yardage was on a couple Pollard runs where he broke multiple tackles. Chuma Edoga was a total mess at left tackle, Brock Hoffman had some penalties and communication errors and T.J. Bass was whiffing in pass pro on a consistent basis. Terence Steele is enjoying jumping offsides this year it seems. Only Tyler Smith had a good game.

Because they are afraid to let him throw more than 10 yards or in the redzone.

Late in the game Sunday, needing 2 TDs, we ran the ball 4 straight times running a few minutes off the clock. When we finally did pass Dak threw an int in the EZ into triple coverage.
Guess you forgot that same drive they had Dak take an endzone shot to Gallup where the officials decided it was okay for the Cards corner to run into his chest while not looking for the ball. Gallup would have scored a TD with 5 minutes to go or the Cowboys SHOULD have had first and goal at the one.

And even if Dak threw a TD instead of a pick, the Cowboys would have been down 28-23. Do you really think the defense would have gotten the ball back the way they were playing? Seriously?

Listen, I completely understand Dak's limitations as a QB. I spent much of last season trying to articulate them. But despite all I have said and believe I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone thinks Dak was the issue yesterday. There is more talk of Dak than that ridiculous blown coverage that allowed Arizona to get an easy 69 yards and into position to score another TD to ice the game. The Cowboys had just kicked a FG to get within 5 points and after kicking off, on the very first Arizona play of the drive, backup QB Joshua Dobbs hits an uncovered receiver for 69 yards from his own 24 yard line. Game over right there. If Dak was somehow responsible for that mistake this board would like up like the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center.

And what about the 13 penalties, 11 coming in the first half. They had more penalties than points in the first half. Is Dak to blame?

The 2nd play from scrimmage for the Cardinals, Dobbs runs right around the left side for 44 yards to set the tempo for the rest of the game. Did Dak miss a tackle or get caught out of position? Was Dak chasing inside when the play went right around him like Lucy pulling the ball away just a Charlie Brown tried to kick it?

Dak was not the problem yesterday. Yes, he made a couple of mistakes but overall he played a decent game. The INT late in the game was a bad throw but also a desperate throw.

The defense gave up 28 points and allowed the Cardinals to score on every drive in the first half. Dak's fault?

The Cowboys had 416 yards in offense yesterday. 185 rushing yards. They have red zone issues for sure, but the bigger problem was the defense. Right now I am more worried about our CB situation than the QB situation.
I'm gonna guess the focus is on Prescott because he gets paid 40 million a year to be a franchise QB and never exhibits any of the skills of a franchise QB.

See, you can desperately try to make him just one of the gang but that contract comes with expectations and he simply can't meet them. Not just this last game. Ever.

They pay 40 million a year and get......nothing in return.

This they made us drive the ball which we did..the redzone offense failed for sure, couldnt punch it in and couldnt throw it in once down there...the defense got killed though..i posted this in another thread:
cardinal scoring drives:
1st - FG drive -6 plays 54 yards
2nd -TD drive-7 plays 82 yards
3rd - TD drive -7 plays 75 yards
4th - FG drive -10 plays 50 yards
5th - FG drive -5 plays 22 yards (shortest scoring drive to end the half basically kicked from the 50)
6th - TD drive -4 plays 76 yards

no doubt the offense redzone was bad..but put the defense in bad spots? Josh Dobbs is the QB here...Josh freaking Dobbs

I dont see the short field or bad situation the offense left the defense in other than not matching those drives with TD's..that drive summary is bad like really bad.
I think almost everyone admits the defense struggled. But the offense was inept not scoring a TD while in the red zone 4 times. That's terrible against a team like Arizona.

And if you look at the photo previously posted of the last play, it looks like the pocket was pretty clean and Dak had time. He chose to throw a ball into what was essentially triple coverage while there were others more open. This is just more of the same with Dak at critical times

The defense struggled? that was not Mahomes that was Josh Dobbs..struggle doesnt fit this..now the redzone offense led by Dak was just as atrocious but no thats not "Same ol Dak" thats down 2 scores on 3rd and long with no time left..but hey your right Dak threw 1 pass all game and it was an INT..i hear ya bro.

Stop with the hate talk.

Nobody hates the man. He seems like a great dude. He really does.

Certain fans are just tired of him as the starting quarterback who can’t seem to put the team on his back when they need him.
And some of us aren't, so stop with the irrational Dak Love, We just know that "Right Now" He's the best option and support him.

See how that works ?

I think you missed the point. Mayfield, Watson, Carr, Goff, Garappolo, Smith, Cousins, Wilson and Tanneyhill were all deemed to not be "the guy" by their original team. Everyone of the 9-12 year group is near journeyman status - nowhere in the conversation as a top QB
What!!!! Geno got come back player of the year, Garappolo is running things in Raider Land Tannehill they ran the guy we just loss to out of town for Wilson got a shiny new bag. Cousins is safe and sound in Minnesota. Goff is the new IT boy in Detroit and Mayfield has New life in Tampa, What the PHU.... are you talking about. Original Team ? What makes the oracles of QB play ?

Ok, it's 8 not 7, which makes it worse. The fact that those other 5-12 year QB's don't elevate either doesn't give Dak a pass. It just demonstrates that he is similar to many other QB's who are just Average to Above Average and nothing special and not someone who can bring a team to a Super Bowl victory.
So my OP stands and your response in nonsensical.
No it doesn't you point is short sighted at best, dead wrong

Its always the same, thats why i say it like this:
"I mad Dak is not Mahomes, I can't believe we cant have a QB like Mahomes like every other team!!!! Did i say I'm mad!!!"
sounds similar to this:
Man who live on the train tracks yelling last night..
"Why do these trains keep comming by, I'm mad because these damn trains keep comming by all the time..did I say I'm mad about the trains!!!!"

This is your Dak truther club...
Bingo, I just don't want them to be allowed to post the ish that they post with no push back.

They are silly , Their points are silly, and their moms dress them funny

They were fine. Hardly the reason for the loss.

So maybe your $40 million quarterback should step up and win a shootout against that garbage team, eh?

He's the problem. Again.
yeah he is why the F couldnt he stop Josh Dobbs from scoring 28 points on 70 yards drives..again he threw 1 pass all day and it was an INT..I hear ya bro.
