If I was Atlanta, I'd add another pass rusher to go along w Beasley. Let's say a 10 sack guy to pair up with Beasleys 15 and sign Leary from us. This would be the moves I make besides the draft.

Offensively, they are a juggernaut. They are a tough tough team
Where are you getting that 10 sack guy from? Nordstrom rack?

Offseason the silly season when you can just get whatever you need just like...*snaps fingers*

I'll take our roster over Atlantas. I'll take their coordinators over ours.

Also, we never saw Atlanta have to take that offense on the road in the playoffs. They are a great home team.

But they got a banged up and not very good Seattle team and they got a decimated Packers team at their house.

No disrespect to Atlanta but to act like they are some amazing team is ridiculous. They're very good but they could go right back to where they were pretty quick.

I agree, but I think their skill players are the best in the league (yes, better than Pittsburgh), their OL fits the speed they have on offense and their defense gets way underrated by some people on this board. Beasley is only the league sack leader, their DBs are well above average and their LBs are fast run and hit machines.

The two most celebrated wins from this season were probably Green Bay and Pittsburgh.

Both got absolutely steamrolled yesterday. The NFL is horrible right now. Very little quality.

Let's not kid ourselves, there's a lot of work to be done.

Happy that we beat both. Yes.

Most celebrated. Not by me.

Just because a couple of teams got steamrolled yesterday in the playoffs doesn't mean there's something wrong with the NFL right now and that there's little quality out there. You're kidding yourself if you believe that. Those two teams that got blown out yesterday did so by a Tom Brady led NE team that was 14-2 this season and by Matt Ryan who was the MVP of the league in 2016.

Someone understands this!

I hear people yelling for a pass rush all the time.. Meanwhile Eli takes 2 steps back and releases over and over and over and over.

We do need pass rushers but we need DB's that can press as well and stop all of these short passes from happening.

You can't get to the QB if you give WR's free release and they are only trying to get a few yards on a play.
New England is setting the bar on both with their bevy of "beasly" types as receivers..........and the slot cb Logan Ryan......Would be a great matchup: Ryan vrs Beasly, but then ryan gets to practice against similar types daily.

I've said that all year. Ugly, sloppy, disjointed football in about 25 cities. Worst I've seen it.

Really don't know what you're looking at this was an exciting 2016 season. The NFC East went from the Least to the Beast and we had 2 rookies take the NFL by storm. We have a terrific Super Bowl matchup in two weeks between Tom Brady going for a record 5th SB win matched up against the MVP of the league Matt Ryan.

Ehhh. Atlanta showed me yesterday that we definitely need playmakers and athletes in the secondary. A pass rush (against Atlanta) almost doesn't matter since the QB gets rid of the ball so quickly.

I still want pass rush. We just can't have slowpokes like Barry Church and guys who are always a step behind the WR (Carr and Byron) all over our secondary. Need a guy of two with real ball skills.

Exactly. Our secondary is so bad. Always beat, a step behind, out of place, losing their man, and never looking back to spot the ball. Everytime a QB drops back and unloads, I close my eyes and wait to hear that the WR was wide open and the DB was 10 yards away. This has got to be fixed.

The Salary Cap has watered down teams in the NFL. The teams with the greatest QB's normally rise to the top. It's the lone position a franchise can financially secure for a career. These 4 final QB's are the winningest in the NFL since 2008.

In an era of mediocrity we've seen New England and the greatest QB of the era dominate. 6 straight conference championship appearances (11 in 16 years) and 7 Super Bowls.

We saw yesterday two teams (GB 4-6 and Pitt 4-5) who made great runs to the championship game winning 8 and 9 in a row after starting with losing records . Both of our wins against them were during their lowest points in their season.

We see this almost every year where teams get hot making runs deep into the playoffs . Both GB and Pitt are proven seasoned playoff contenders under their probable HOF QB's.

Um, really? Atlanta played the AFC West. The NFC East played the AFC North. Big difference there.

As for your due to lose comment, there's the gambler's fallacy rearing its ugly (and incorrect) head again. Hope you don't spend much time in Vegas.

yawn

ok we sucked big time, we were the worst 13-3 team of all time, we didn't deserve to be in the playoffs, and if Green Bay lost to them and we lost to GB, then we would have lost by 50

Happy?
