A complete receiver makeover?

I understand but the NFL over pays all the time then adjust later.

Like I said if Dez doesn’t take less he’s gone but I think he will take less. It’s all about whether it will be enough.
They prefer not to. And the smart teams don't at all.

Watkins is not worth 16 mill a year. I don't think he's worth 10 mill. Hitchens isn't worth 9.5 mill per.

So yes, teams over pay in FA. And some teams use restructuring contracts consistently to free up cap. But those things are detrimental if they don't pan out.

Dak's passing ability probably isn’t going to fully utilize a top receiver. We may not need to expend that type of Salary on one here and Dak might not attract any. Look how Dak decreased all of our recievers value last year alone.
That's your opinion. I happen to think Dak has a bright future. He did step back from a phenomenal rookie year. But the Zeke stuff, some online injuries all played a part. And Dez played a part. Along with some uncreative play calling.

Of course. No concern in Daks downfield passing ability?

Dak had glaring issues with Elliott in there and when Smith was healthy.’

We saw what we had in a QB after Elliott went out. I’m not too excited about his future.

But it looks like we’re Dug In on trying to make something out of our backup QB.

Maybe we should focus on beefing up the OL and defense so our running game and defense can carry our QB and lack of passing game.

I think the stats indicate that this perception is unwarranted. But just eyeballing it... I think he uses too much arm. He needs to work on lofting the ball and letting the receiver create his play on the ball. That will come with experience, and trust in his WR's. If you don't trust the guy, you're not going to just lay it out there. You are going to try to make a perfect throw.

So this whole thing wasn't even about Dez. You don't like Dak. You so sneaky.

Id like to reclaim my time Mr chairman.

You have to throw recievers open in today’s NFL. And you have to trust the guy.

No, you don't have to throw a guy open. The guy can get open on his own.

And there are very few qbs that can throw guys open. And few recievers who can even read that.

Brady is probably the best ever doing it. And he does it a lot to competent WR's.

Brees does it. Rodgers does it. Even a QB like Cousins does it.

We have a great backup QB who had a remarkable Rookie season and winning wave. But he’s not a legit prolific NFL proto type passing QB. Not yet anyway..

I love Dak. Great guy. Just not as our starting QB.

I can’t stand Dez . He’s a punk thug but he’s defintely the superior talent.

Calling Dez a punk thug isn't fair. And clearly shows you don't understand much.

Are we going to look back and say we really missed a talent like Dez this year in our passing game along with Daks development .. but we saved 10 million. That’s why the money has no meaning to me if it hurts the team.

If we don’t have a deep threat or a #1 reciever who can draw some double teams defenses will be able to stack the lines even more to shut down the run forcing Dak to beat them over the top.. with who?

This is what I mean by what will the effects be? Will it worth saving a few million?

Like I said. The money has no meaning to me. Who’s going to replace him?

And what are the effects going to be without his talent ?
Nothing seems to have meaning to you.

This, or any future conversation with you, has no meaning to me.

I got to admit, this WR make over is kinda puzzling.

We now have Dez, Hurns, Twill, Beasly, Switzer, Thompson, and Brown.

Plus we might draft a rookie WR also, so that would make us 8 deep at WR?

I don't think we are going to carry 8 WRs on the 53, so are more changes on the way?

Why are any of you surprised that Dak returned to playing just like he did in college? His rookie season was a fluke. The rest of his career, including college, shows his true ability. Great kid. NFL back-up quality QB.

If the QB is the problem, why is the team overhauling the WR core?

Looks like they are doing to the WR core what they did to the secondary last year.

Why, if the QB is the problem?
