Look at the team around him. Let’s circle back when they pay purdy and can’t afford to pay most of their guys.

Put purdy on a not stacked team.
They've had other QBs. Kyle Shanahan has coached many other QBs.

At no point in time did any of them look even close to as good as Purdy has looked.

Not even 2016 Matt Ryan, and he was the NFL MVP that year.

At some point, you'll have to accept the fact that Purdy's draft status is irrelevant. Just like you did for Brady and Kurt Warner.

They were doing it with garropolo, went to superbowls with him even. now look at him on raiders. They got and he got the perfect scenario for their team. Put purdy on the raiders though he’s not doing what he’s doing in SF.

That’s why it really will be interesting when they actually have to pay him top tier and have to make difficult decisions on kittle, aiyuk, deebo, Williams, basically everyone on their team.

And let’s face it that offense runs through mccaffrey. I mean dak has games where his qbr is elite but is he an elite qb?

Jimmy was never doing what Purdy did. Not even close. Purdy's efficiency numbers are the best in the league by a mile.

They got to a Super Bowl with Jimmy doing as little as possible. See the NFC Championship vs Green Bay.

indeed. Dak is already the most costly mistake in the franchise history and will probably linger for another 3 years , making it an 11 year debacle
Not really he was a 4th round pick they got all they could out of him. Deciding to stick with him is the mistake.

If Dak is given an extension you are guaranteeing failure.

I don't care if there is currently no plan in place for life after Dak. I don't care if the Lance trade really was just for a 3rd string QB.

The unknown right now is better than the known that Dak brings you.

You will NEVER find a high level QB if you strap yourself to low level QBs.

We've not ever looked for a legit QB since Romo got the job. That was almost 20 years ago!

The only thing worse than having Dak as the QB is that Jerry doesn't care that Dak is the QB.
Nope; that’s not possible. At worst, a Dak extension just extends the SB drought a few more years. (Not that this tea is capable of getting to a SB no matter who the QB is). The Jimmy firing stopped us from a bigger mark in the record books, possibly 4-5 SBs in a row.

yes he was cheap the first 2 years , but ultimately he fooled jerry into believing he is a SB winning QB caliber. This cost a lot of potential better alternative QBs . Heck look at what the niners got for the last picked player in the draft.
