However something i have noticed is when ever some becomes accused of being racist/prejudice they immediately jump to the defensive and claim they have x amount of black friends not saying any of you guys do that just something that i have seen.

So I gather you'd prefer they didn't have any Black friends?

Actually my bald White friend David isn't racist, he's a cancer survivor. Oh and I wasn't a racist when I shaved my head in support of him during chemo either.

Ok i get it i jumped to conclusions about people and was wrong thats cool. Every person is different and i don't know everyone back story and don't know why the way the are but because of the way the are i will look to associate them with a group of people. That's all i am trying to say.

Oh no i just said its funny that they try to use that as a reason. I am not saying ZOMG black power seperate but equal is the way to go. I have friends from a lot of different ethnic backrounds. I enjoy them for who and what they are. I will not but yielded to associate with someone because of a hair style or because of their skin color.

Agreed. but that goes both ways. I have on several occasions walked up to a window and the first thing out of the persons mouth was, "why the **** did you pull me over. I haven't done anything". Where is the respect there?

I don't think they are afraid of him being a gangster just the fact that he will hope out the cab and not pay so if i was them i wouldn't pick them up either. You have to protect your investment its like how many times will you get robbed before you just say forget it.

Well maybe i get tired of getting pulled over it's like come on. However i try not to be dickheads to the cops when they pull me over cause they will arrest me and tow my car.

I don't disagree...Everyday, I see people who are pretty far down on the evolutionary ladder and getting them to act civil is a pretty enormous leap from reality...Still, you cannot control how people act towards you (At the risk of sounding preachy, as I do not believe in religion), you can control how you act towards others.

Society is crumbling in a lot of ways...People are less respectful both towards the law and towards others...Families are dysfunctional, left & right...Violence everywhere, etc...Change has to start somewhere

I'd 'imagine', it's pretty tough being a cop...It'd be pretty tough to have thick skin and be aware of situations and scenarios that could see you or a fellow officer get injured/killed...It's not easy work, no doubt...But just as I can't condone brutality and torture for armed forces just because they have a weapon, I can't condone excessive force from police officers because they are up against situations that lack respect...I don't believe teachers should have the ability to dole out corporal punishment for misbehaving students but I do believe in discipline for insubordination.
