if thats what pops into your head then hey. when i see a girl dressed like that i think she's loose.
I don't judge people by that method. Forgive me if I don't commend you because you admit that you do.

After reading many of the post one thing for sure racism and stereotyping knows no color

The moral of this thread should be.... "people can be stupid"

and no I dont just mean the comment about all bald headed white men are racist.... but all of the scenario's mentioned have been thought or said by someone... somewhere.

Look inside yourself and figure "stuff" out.

I am done with this thread.

not even i am saying that we all make assumptions about people based on the way they are dressed i don't see where the need for the overboard example you guy that how no merit or warrant however its cool.

...... you said, Taxi drivers are justified for not picking up black men... because they are afraid a black man would hop out of the car and not pay.... that has not one thing to do with clothing.

Then you used some asinine analogy of somebody with a Commanders shirt, being branded a Commanders fan..... of course they will be.... they choose to wear the Skins shirt, nobody chooses to be born a different color, nobody chooses who their parents are.... you can't blindly judge somebody because of something they had no control over.

OK, it's dangerous. but so is it dangerous for ambulance drivers and fireifighters who don't carry guns and have to go into lawless neighborhoods.

Big difference between going in to enforce the law and going in to provide assistance (fire, health emergency).

how bout this if you see some one in a Commanders hat Commander jersey Commanders jacket and sunglasses you think he is a Commanders fan right ?

Actually something COMPLETELY different comes to mind... :D

No, but a grown man calling for Mommy to make them stop is.

If you think for a moment that a mostly black lockerroom is not going to sympathize with a teammate for having hick cops abuse their authority and assault him then you are completely and utterly out of touch.

Exactly. I was a fireman for 7 years and not once did I ever feel I was not welcome in any neighborhood.

I invite you to go down to your local Law Enforcement Agency and request a ride along on a weekend. Then come back and say how hard the job is.

They have back up? True but in some cases back up could be anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour a way.
Ride alongs are awesome. I rode in one. We caught a drunk driver...and responded to another call going 80MPH. Very cool.

How are you coming to the conclusion that these were hick cops? Are you saying you know these cops?

????????

I'm pretty sure the examples that i made we're realistic. Just because i didn't want to have pertain it to race doesn't mean that it is any less legit. I just was attempting to proove the point that people make assumption of people based off of the way the dress and for people to lay a claim that they don't is beyond me. I relayed it back to female and Commanders because one more ost of us on these boards are men and two we are all cowboys fans.

You mean how someone can make an assumption because what that person is wearing may be a police uniform?

like is said if 7 out of 10 green ppl since I don't want to relate this to race anymore. If 7 out of 10 green ppl smack you in the face every time you said hello to them would you continue to say hello to them? Let me get this is antoher asinine analogy i guess.

Your are correct, but there is still a lot of risk involved. For example there are some neighborhoods in D.C. where the ambulance personnel wear bullet proof vest, but I do see your point.
