I never said he wouldn't be good for half a game. I said we need a back that can go all 4. So you are correct he had a great 100 yard first half but a true workhorse would have had just as good a second half. He died out, he couldn't hack it. Had one of the plays for negetive yards been for posetive yards or a first down that may have lead to a touchdown and we win.
I have never said he can't play half a game he showed that his whole career and again in the playoffs but why pay a man starter money if he isn't able to finish games off? He has proven to be good through half a game of football but questions loomed wheather or not he could play a full 4 and he didn't answer those questions to well with his performance in the play offs. How will he handle a full season if he can't handle a full game after a bye?
So pretty much your argument is the Boys lost against the Giants because Barber sucks? No other reason at all, such as dropped passes, poor secondary coverage, lack of tackling, etc.?
I've tried to stay away from this thread today, but, the more we respond to you, the weaker your point gets. You're basing your entire argument on one half of football. Tell me, how many complete games did Jones play this year? And, with your infatuation with DMac, how many complete games did he play? Your argument is flawed because you believe in a single-back system, which very few teams use anymore. Regardless of your argument - or lack thereof - it's clear that you have no understanding of how running games are played today.
