What I learned was that, after 4 games, Dak is more mature, focused, poised, and committed to winning than Tony Romo was after 5 years in the league.

Dak does not make impulsive throws with the game on the lines, he takes great care of the ball. He understands the big picture so he will never make a comment to the effect that losing a playoff game isn't that big of a deal in a person's life.

Dak won't take a trip down to a beach resort during a playoff bye. He won't have a celebrity girlfriend show up at a game to create publicity and add incentive to an opponent.

Dak is never going to be told that he has to take a leadership role with the team. He is a leader today and no one is going to have to teach him

Please, there is no way anyone can be more committed to winning than a guy willing to play with a broken rib, broken vertebrae etc. You are also taking the losing a playoff game comment out of context. He is right, if losing that game is the worst thing ever to happen to him, he will have had a good life.

Interesting that Romo isn't committed to winning because of Jessica. I guess Brady isn't committed to winning because he dated Briget and Gisele?

Dandy you are missing the point. That 2014 version of Romo doesn't exist anymore. It's time for you to let go and fully endorse Dak. Dak>Romo.

I do endorse Dak, 100%. He could be Staubachesque - I'm just as excited as you are - honest I am.

But, I think Tony's earned the right to find out if he can come back. The clavicle is fully healed and the back injury is independent of previous injuries. He should be 100% when he's cleared. It would be hard to believe he's lost any arm strength and his knowledge and experience are there so I believe he lights it up if teams load the line of scrimmage to stop Zeke.

I will admit it's going to get awful in here for a game or two when he comes back (I might have to take a vacation) because he's going to be rusty and I'll be holding my breath, but he's a competitor and I fully expect him to return to form.

I will say it right now though - if he gets hurt again, it's over. He should just enjoy being there for his kids as they grow up.

If Tony comes back I want him a 100% healthy, non-rusty Tony. The Tony that played against the Panthers is who I don't want to see.

So what's the problem with that? Isn't the goal to get it into the end zone which he does?

I think we as a fan base had better get used to methodically moving down the field, right into the end zone because this is the type of QB we have. Let me reiterate, the name of the game is to GET THE BALL INTO THE END ZONE. Let me repeat, get the ball into the end zone.

Yes it is but if all he is going to do is live underneath teams will take that everyday and twice on sunday because it makes him a whole lot easier to defend and makes the run game easier to defend. The running lanes stay a little clogged when the secondary does not fear anything too much beyond the sticks.

Remember Tony probably will not be able to play on the short week we have in November as his recovery time does not allow him that luxury. This always makes me think we are compromised with Romo. This year it will be the 11-24 Skins game right after the 11-20 Ravens at our house.

So Dak is going to have a better career than Brady, Manning or Romo interception wise then huh?

Brady 16 yrs -150
Manning 18 yrs -251
Romo, 10 yrs 117

Wait Aikman 12 yrs 141!!!

That is just stupid talk!

Bloke, what is stupid is mentioning Romo in the same conversation as Brady, Manning and Aikman.
The are Super Bowl-tested QBs. Romo has, as QB, won 2 career playoff games!
It is called context. It's like comparing Trump to Lincoln, FDR and Jefferson.
Quit it. It is stupid talk.

If Tony played on those Cowboys teams, he'd have rings too. And I'm not even sure Aikmen would have done any better than Tony did in his shoes. Brady and Manning - I agree. Not sure on Troy.

You sound very confused in your post. You really think we should yank this stud QB who is WINNING and put in a healthy yet RUSTY Romo who has been out for a year and half with injuries and is immobile? COME ON MAN....

Your guess is as good as mine. Nor do I want him to have that personality, and I personally enjoyed watching the cast of friends.

Holy crap!!!. Offended by someone calling out Friends? I love today's offended America. Uhhhhhhh not really.

I was in no ways offended. The quote was misunderstood. I was simply saying Even though I like friends, I dont expect, nor do I want my WR to have that personality. I was basically saying both have their place, and you can like both of them.

You don't get it? It was a selfish statement. He wasn't the only person effected by the outcome. His teammates, other Cowboy personnel, even fans don't want to hear a statement like that. Whether victory generated more money, career advancement, post football opportunity or fan satisfaction, a quarterback must exhibit a perception of complete commitment to the pursuit of a championship. It is what a leader does.

Let me ask this.....did Bridget and/or Gisele ever show up to a Patriot game wearing Brady's jersey number and waving to the cameras? If so, was it before or after his first championship?

Staubach played with broken bones. However, not only would he never make that statement after a loss, you would be taking a risk just to approach him. The greatest champions were never known to be good losers. Many would confess that one of their greatest incentives to hard work was the fear of losing.

I did not take losing a playoff game out of context. Placing to much importance on it is impossible for a fan, the word is short for fanatic, after all. A victory would have placed the team closer to the Super Bowl. You never know, look at the 9-7 Giants that defeated the previously undefeated Patriots.

A Super Bowl would have made the Hall of Fame a forgone conclusion. Right now, the probability is extermely low. I wonder if Romo still feels the same way about that game.

Well, yes, old fellow. It is the tragedy of the Romos and Danny Whites to not rise above bad teams or teams that came close.
Blimey! I want to see Romo sent out like a hero. Yes indeed.
Then time for a younger, durable and wise leader.
I still flinch, bloke, when comparing Manning/Brady to Romo.
The former having Super Bowl rings. Be fair, good fellow!
