Dez is an overpaid infant. That is pretty much what we have learned. Beasley got what Dez gets most of the time and he pretty much disappeared like Dez does.

Dak proved that without his top two receivers he could still get it done. The kid is amazing. Loving Claiborne right now. Considering all the people that wrote him off.[/QUOT

How is a man that lead the league in TDs overpaid, when we did not see a fall off until he was injured and had no Q?....Now, with that said, Dezs numbers will suffer with Dak if he continues to see double teams.

LMAO, okay. You've been a Romo hater for years, don't try and act like you like the "person" Romo is.
He had to go into hiding in 2014 when Romo should have been the league MVP.

Looks like he's back now in full force.

He likes Romo as a person though.

I never went anywhere. Been here the whole time. 2014 Romo had a great year but were are in 2016 now. He missed just about all of 2015 and half of this year too. We have a better QB now, so I'm ready to move on.

I have always liked Romo as a person but not the Qb of my team. 2 playoff wins in a decade. No thanks. Give me a guy who elevates his play when needed most.

When did he lead the league in TD's? Two years ago?

1. I would NEVER spend 16 million on a receiver unless he was something really special in every aspect.
2. I certainly wouldnt spend it on a guy like Dez that is mentally and maturity challenged. Loose cannon, poor example of a leader for this team.

1. Daks Poise and Patience...we definitely have our QB of the Future. Competition should start next year for the starting spot. He can still learn from watching Romo if and when Romo is totally healthy. There still no need to rush him back as long as we keep winning.

2. Dez's "immaturity" is not a ME OVER TEAM immaturity. Yes he can handle some situations better, but he clearly still loves football, and he loves this team. His passion for the game has not left him since getting paid.

3. As Mo Claiborne continues to gain confidence, he is only going to get better. He is the only CB on our team who looks for the ball while it is in the air, and his fundamentals are better than decent. We hurt his development a lot putting him a lot with our early defensive scheme in his early years. Mo is a man corner. Mo was the reason we stopped our first drive today when the game could have gotten out of hand, and he balled out int he 4th to secure the victory when Butler tried to mess that up. (More on this later).

4. Zekes patience is gradually coming. He still needs to develop a little more patience, and then the league should beware.

5. For all those who question Dez's WR ability and think that Beasley is our best receiver....evidently opposing Defenses still think Dez is our number 1 guy. Beasley saw more attention than he has seen in the NFL. He all but disappeared until the last play to seal the game, and then the Niners D was as shocked as I was that the Cowboys called an unexpected play to seal the game. Side note..Our outside WR saw more action than they seen in a while. It truly proves that Dak is not whistling dixie when he says he goes through his progressions and throws to the open man.

6. All of our receivers (including TE) need to up their situational football thinking ability: Taunting Penalties, Not getting out of bounds, Fighting for needless yards and fumbling or getting injured, False starts....Somethings got to give.

Just my few pennies....

Great write up....Not sure if this has been posted or not. It's the OL that makes this offense click. Give some loving to the boys up front who make the holes for Zeke and give Dak the time to work his magic... The OL is the foundation and it is making Stars out of Rookies.....something we haven't seen for some time. Players are playing with confidence and the fans are excited again....

No, he hasn't lost his job and Jerry said exactly what he should have said.

Look, if Dak beats the Bengals and Packers and we are looking at 5-1 then that is a legitimate question and that's why Jerry has to leave the door open and I agree. What's missing from these conversations is context, ie, - what would Romo be doing with the same offense and in that regard he probably looks like 2014 and the current running game is even better because you cannot afford to stack the LOS against Romo.

It's an observation through absence bias. Yes, we see what we have but we don't see what we could have.
Romo can't stay healthy.

You are talking about a ghost when you try to convince me about what Romo could do..

Which Romo..the 2007 version or the 2016 version..?

Very different players.

Considering Dak looks to be closer to RG3 rookie numbers... But stats can be misleading. The only real knock on Dak and the gameplan is the fact that he RARELY throws farther than 10-15 yards
So what's the problem with that? Isn't the goal to get it into the end zone which he does?

I think we as a fan base had better get used to methodically moving down the field, right into the end zone because this is the type of QB we have. Let me reiterate, the name of the game is to GET THE BALL INTO THE END ZONE. Let me repeat, get the ball into the end zone.

he also might be tired of the question. Lets face it, we know Romo is going back in, the question everyone should be asking is "Will the Cowboys do the correct thing" chances are great everyone knows the answer. No. They will put Romo back in until he suffers a career ending injury. Hes not getting younger, the body isnt getting better, meds dont stop breaks. Again, i still want Romo on the team, as back up which isnt a bad thing now a days and get him ready to take over as QB coach. Its a nice slide, hes had a good life and a good career he can be proud of. Playing him as a starter is like starting Witten, we arent getting anything out of it. the season is lost again , thats the way the organization wanted it, its the way it is. Toss our clip boards, scream at the world but for the love of football, ride Dak for the season and get him his experience.

Make no mistake, Jerry will never tire of any question asked of him.

That's an absolute valid point.

Healthy - this team is a better 2014 version and a deep playoff threat.
Not Healthy - his career is over and this team is much much better 2015 version but I don't think a deep playoff threat.

Before we all get totally crazy, let's remember these past three wins have been against two of the worst teams in the league and a QB who couldn't win a stuffed animal at a county fair with 50 bucks in quarters.

I love Dak so far, but let's not get his Canton bust ready quite yet. And anyone who thinks our playoff anemia has been solely due to Romo...

Because the ownership has never allowed competition with Romo by never drafting or signing a competent QB..

we have been forced to commit a decade to Romo and never got the benefits of winning anything.

We never needed competition. When you have one of the best QBs in the league - you go with your guy. Brady, Manning (both), Ben, Rodgers - they never had competition. Luck and Newton won't go on to have competition in their prime. You use those resources on the rest of the roster.

Forced? Lol. We were lucky beyond belief to get a franchise QB for nothing. Forced...

Keep in mind Jerry was hit in the head by a helmet..lol jk.

Seriously though.. I wouldn't pay attention to what Jerry is saying about how this football team is being run. This year it's like he has his own commentary and then Jason does what he wants.
Ya think..

I hope so.

Dandy you are missing the point. That 2014 version of Romo doesn't exist anymore. It's time for you to let go and fully endorse Dak. Dak>Romo.

He has not been free..

He has cost us $120 mil and only 2 playoff victories in 10 years..

That's hardly free..

That's about $60 mil per playoffs victory.

You do not grade QBs on pretty stats and media hype and how many commercials they star in.

that's for Fantasy League guys..

You grade them on World Championships.

Answer me this..

Which QB is the better QB..

Romo or the QB from the Ravens..Joe Flacco ?

The QB from the Ravens..

he has won division titles and championships.

Not the QB from the Cowboys.

I'm a Cowboys fan but not able to endorse my own starting QB becuz he just hasn't performed.

And if by some miracle we would win a SB this year with Romo being the QB..

which I strongly doubt..

It would only happen with both DAK and Romo being engraved on the trophy as Co-winners although many would want to say Romo.

Romo is clearly a better player than Joe Flacco. Would you also argue that Flacco is better than Marino? If Elway had retired at 36, would Flacco have been better than him too?

Despite QB being the post important position, football is still a team sport. The Dallas Cowboys have long been handicapped by their lack of a legitimate GM. Romo didn't trade a 1st and 3rd for Roy Williams or pick TO over Bill Parcells. Romo didn't give 55M to Brandon Carr. Romo didn't hire puppet coaches or waste draft picks.

I know some people like to reduce the world to small, binary, black-or-white bits so that it's easier to swallow and digest. But most of us know that it's a lot more complicated than that.

Yes..

Flacco is better than Marino.

He's also a lot smarter than Marino.

Marino filed bankruptcy about 3 years ago..

Only about 5 years after retiring.

Some example bro..

Try again.

I'd also like to add that I've been impressed with Linehan's play calling. Especially during yesterdays 2 minute drill at the end of the first half, great execution by Dak of course.

He clearly flipped the ball at the defender, the fact he missed is largely meaningless. It was a stupid move by Butler.
I disagree. It certainly wasn't clear. I have no idea what was in his head and I'm surprised you do.
The ball was flipped. He was two feet away and missed him. That's hard to do for a child let alone a pro athlete.

He flipped the ball. That's not a penalty. If he were to shove the air could that be ruled he was shoving an official?
