You are delusional. Anyone that claims he always tells the truth is deluded. Truth is in the eye of the beholder and nothing more
Wow, bringing out the insults now.
Which tells me you are the delusional one. Insult me because you know I am correct.

Until the cowboys fans start putting pressure on the Jones family and make them extremely uncomfortable, I doubt we ever see any change
There’s nothing that will pressure Jerry to change. Sure, he’ll change coaches, but not the kind of fundamental change needed. The only hope for that is when Stephen is the man. Maybe he wants to separate himself from his dad. After all, he can’t claim SB wins or HoF.

Yeah, gotta wait to see what happens later in the season, but it doesn't look promising to expect quality playoff performance.
That said, I'm happy with a win as long as the players are ballin'. If I see quit in a team, start churning the roster.

You have probably seen it in a movie or TV commercial sometime. The desperate wanderer who is lost in the desert is so hungry and thirsty that he begins to see things. Like a mirage of an oasis in the middle of the desert, complete with clear, cool water and food. But sadly, it’s not real. It’s a mirage.

Much like the desperate man in the desert, when your favorite team loses 5 games in a row, many of your best players are hurt and worse, has an 82 year old stubborn moron in charge of everything….it makes you desperate to see things that may not be there.

When I look at this Cowboys team on an improbable two game winning streak, I realize - this is still not a very good football team. It’s a mirage. Don‘t get me wrong. I’ve always said and still believe winning is always good for an NFL team. But it can also be a mirage.

I will never criticize or fault a Cowboys fan who is excited about a Cowboys win or who has hope that this two game winning streak means something in the big picture. But I cannot pretend that I believe this 2024 Cowboys team is somehow a good football team. It’s has just enough talent to be in lower half of mediocre teams. Maybe they finish 7-10 or 8-9. Meh.

The real hope for this team IMO lies in CHANGE, not keeping the same cast of characters in charge doing things the same way for the 30th straight year and us fans somehow seeing a mirage of an oasis. Whatever brings change, I want it. Whatever brings false hope, I’m tired of it.
I see that you are doubling down.

I disagree. It is just the fans opinion who want to hate on stuff.
Jerry knows winning a SB is more revenue than just keeping things relevant.
They just go about it the wrong way. Or at least the way the fans want them to.

Not defending them by any means. But there are more than 1 way to look at things. Yes, changes need to be made. But to think Jerry does not care is just not true.
I tend to agree on this one.

The idea doesn’t want to win is ridiculous, he does…he just isn’t any good at recognizing what it takes, and isn’t willing to change things that need desperately to be….like him being the center of attention.

Semantics probably. He WANTS to win, but remains stubborn in thinking he can do things his way and still pull it off.

I do very much believe he would rather not win than having someone else take any of his precious “credit” though.

Some interpret this as not caring about winning. Again, semantics.

It’s not a Mirage Bob. We aren’t as bad we thought. Dak was the problem and it’s evident. They can run the ball. The O-Line can block. The D is not that bad ….

So what is different??
And Dak lovers need to take note …..
Some now it all don’t seem so bad. And chances are this momentum continues to roll.

What do you do with Doe Eyed Dak next year if the boys make the playoffs ?!

Laugh now and I will be laughing later

Bob,I feel the same way.
I am so tired of the same ole, same old.
I am afraid if the Cowboys play good and not great, somehow stumble to a winning record, that this will give Jerry just enough justification to run this bunch back next season with Mac in charge.
I would rather the Cowboys crash and burn this season to maybe force some major changes in how they operate.
This! Exactly

I will keep walking toward that mirage, until I get there, and if it is gone. I will keep walking.
I will not turn around and walk the other way if I see another.

No, I am not sucked in on the illusion of it will be great. It is because I am fan. I refuse to waste energy whining about anything and everything. That does not mean I will not be critical when needed. And we know, there is much to criticize. But I will not allow it to consume me. I have other things to do more important.
Yeah for some reason I think that some people around here believe that fans like us who are happy about the wins somehow think that we're delusional and that it's gonna mean something and that we're gonna save the season no it just felt really bad losing 5 in a row it felt really bad getting our butts beat at home how many times in a row so it does feel good to win a couple of games it's good to see our players and coaches with a smile on their face especially around the holidays is nothing more and nothing less than that they're just two wins and that were nice to have especially beating your division foes who thought there was blood in the water and they were going to show us this year how it felt and they couldn't do it especially Washington I found it the most satisfying win in a long time that we ruined Dan Quinn's revenge game and all the X players on that team who thought they were going to just lift their leg on us because it looked that easy on paper and they got their butts handed to them by a practice squad offense that's just the best feeling in the world but yeah it was just a game...

I'm enjoying these back-to-back wins and the draft will fall however it falls there'll be plenty of good players left wherever we pick we just gotta make the right pick.. Talking about draft slots and worried about losing for the draft with six games to go was futile it's just to me ignorant I just not like that the players aren't like it the coaching staff they're not laying down and giving up free wins..

I mean I've heard it talked about before protecting the integrity of sports by playing every game to win not losing on purpose having pride and sportsmanship go a long way in this league but all sports I mean if people keep making up these words like tank as if it's a real thing it's a real thing among fans it's a fan born narrative imagine if these young kids in middle school or high school are are looking at this and here's someone like Micah Parsons or the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys or even the GM come out and say we're gonna lose on purpose don't worry about it it's gonna get us some draft picks but we're gonna lay down and quit and we're gonna give some wins to teams that don't deserve it which is gonna hurt the process in which some of the other teams that were looking to earn their way into a playoff might not get in because you just handed it to a team that didn't deserve it this needs to be talked about more I'm tired of hearing about tanking I get it we want great draft picks...

But it needs to be done in the right manner you play every game to win if you're that bad you're gonna lose organically and you will get your draft picks..

Way to bring us back down to earth @Bobhaze .
But seriously, I hear you. We beat the giants, not the Chiefs. I am one of those that still gets excited about wins. Just can't help myself. Especially this season, when winning hasn't been the norm. With Cincy up next, gotta enjoy the wins when I can!!
I get it..but even if we beat the Chiefs, this would still be a bad football team. Every year a bad team beats a top contender...but that doesn't mean it made that bad team a good one. Enjoy the wins when you can! But don't set yourself up with this nonsense talk of a playoff run.

It has always and will always be false hope under the Jones boys! Jerra is loving this two game winning streak so he can’t back to selling false hope.

Fan hating myth. Jerry knows winning a SB will bring in more money than just keeping them relevant.
He has the money already. If he doesn't keep status quo he loses the gold. Risky free agent spending could upset the balance. This is why steady roster building with predictable cap spending is the norm. No shots for a SB win will occur.

This team has enough talent to be in the discussion as a 12 win team. Injuries and a few select holes are the difference between a 12 win team and where we are right now.

Dak Prescott is not the answer. We should have drafted or otherwise secured his replacement. Dak=Daniel Jones.

Paying and paying guys like Martin hurt this team. Playing Zeke hurt this team. Playing without a legitimate RB hurt this team.

This team is not that far off BUT they are heading no where in the playoffs this year. I’m glad Martin is out because it is forcing the team to accept that he is not very good anymore.

It’s hard to tell if the coaching is a problem or not because we don’t know how much influence Jerry still insists on having behind the scenes regarding playing time.

Rush doesn’t look very athletic, and he’s not but his results aren’t much different than Dak’s results.

All I saw was a win and my size 15s up on a pillow on my coffee table. Snuggled up with my Cowboys blanket and laughing at the fans that were so pissed off that we won. It was a nice afternoon. I'll worry about Jerry's stupidity and Dak's contract after the season, actually, I won't...since I can't do anything about them, I'll just keep drinking my kool-aid and wearing my rose colored Gargoyles. Salud!
Be careful not to drink the poisoned blue kool aide since another Jones (Jim) did that in the 70s.

30 years of evidence tells me Jerry knows the Cowboys will never play in another NFC championship game as long as he is alive and controlling everything. So, Jerry is either a senile old man removed from any reality or he just doesn't care about bringing the fans a championship. It is likely both and I think the money flows in great numbers whether we go 0-17 or win a Super Bowl and that is the problem. Winning is no longer tied to more profit because Jerry the businessman created multiple revenue streams to ensure winning playoff games made no difference when it comes to restricting the money flow.

:starspin:....I still believe in managing a problem and leadership. Only in Dallas, a movie hit with money management instead of team management by Jerry and Stephen. They could learn from the Aztec on winning being a man in true sacrifices.

I like Thanksgiving halftimes a lot, but never going strongly into playoffs now, defines all for the fan...but I still pay attention. I understand the sport in leadership and play. Tough teams have still been kicking their butts. That is still on coaches and not TV reviews and watching Jerry talk.

Nobody with an ounce of common sense believes these last two wins were anything meaningful. They were fun and entertaining. It was nice to get the wins. The games themselves were a complete mess. This is still the same core that will happily quit in the first quarter of a playoff game. It is still the same rotten core of self promoters. But it was better than it has been.
I don't know about that. We got some posters finding a way convince themselves they are okay with the return of bad coaches like McCarthy and Zimmer. This whole staff has to go once the season is over.
