Heres an interview after hes had some time to cool off about it if anyone is interested.

silverbear;2030559 said:Talk about making excuses for your own failures... watching that clip sure makes me think less of him as a prospect...
Like that track is the reason he ran a 4.75... you could have put him on Virginia Tech's ultrafast track, and I'll stone guarantee you he still would have run a 4.6-4.65... it's pretty clear why he's been ducking working out for the scouts...
Just for the record, until recently I had Malcolm as my number one WR on my board, even ahead of Limas Sweed... he's not in my top 3 any more...
Verdict;2032355 said:The sad part of this is this could have been prevented. He could have refused to run on anything except his preferred track. He would then have been percieved as a prima donna, but maybe a fast prima donna, which would have made him a lot more money in the end. He had the option to refuse to run. He probably should have insisted. Being a nice guy may have cost him some money in this case.
CATCH17;2032358 said:There is just a lot of bad advice and bad moves being made by all parties involved in this situation.
The Oklahoma Sooners will pay for this in the long run because he was not the only guy who was very upset by this move. He just spoke up for himself and his teamates.
Its all very un-professional.
But we're dealing with a school that doesn't even know where their Quarterback works (yeah right)
TheCount;2032412 said:These are not the first batch of kids to leave Oklahoma for the NFL, they aren't even near the most talented. I think the school will be fine.
Not to mention the school doesnt even run thebdrills. NFL reps are the ones that actually coach the Kidd through the drills last I heard.
CATCH17;2032430 said:They have always done their 40 times at a different area though.
Their guys were put in a position to fail and its the universities fault.
They should've had the 40 in a place where the kids could run at a high speed like every other school in the country does on their pro days.
TheCount;2032455 said:I thought the stories said NFL reps were the ones that requested the players run on that surface, not the school?
CATCH17;2032514 said:They did but they have always ran their 40's in Mozier (where ever that is).
None of the players had the right kind of shoes to run on that type of surface and never even had a chance to practice their 40's on it.
It cost them all tenths of a second.
TheCount;2032535 said:I agree it cost them time, I just don't see how it's the schools fault that the NFL showed up and demanded a change.
