All depends on the player, really. I'd like to see the success rate on teams that trade back into the first for a player. Of the top of my head, I don't think that strategy turns out well

I believe teams typically trade back into 1 for a QB, so I assume this could be the team's fallback plan to appease the fans upset over the pick of Bosa or Buckner

Of course, we'll all be quite un-appeased when they turn in the card, 'with the 20th pick in the draft, the Dallas Cowboys select quarterback from Mississippi State, Dak...'

20 is a long way away but an extra 2nd and 3rd could do wonders...and to both sides of the ball.

#20- Spence DE
2nd- Jackson III CB
2J- Nassib DE
3rd- Dixon RB
3J- Deep threat WR Cooper/Higgins

Take a DT and LB/S/TE in the 4th and that would be the ultimate win now draft.

I cant think of a single guy who is worth giving up a valuable high 3rd Rd and a 6th Rd pick, got to figure Lynch will be gone by then.

According to someone...

"Mike Francesca and he said he heard a rumor about Dallas getting back into bottom of the first and they have talked to Jets about it.

If this goes down, Dallas will give their #2, #3 and #6 picks based on the value chart and get Jets #1 (20th pick)."

He has been hanging around Gregory to much.

That's never going to happen.

Really depends on who is there and what the offer is.

It does seem like they've been paying a lot of attention to players projected in the 10-20 range.
If they don't take a QB at 4 and trade down, they'd have plenty of extra picks to trade up from 34. It's not a stretch at all to turn the 4th and 34th into something like the 8th and 20th...and maybe an extra 6th

Sounds dumb to me, but for the sake of argument, what's the better scenario if they do that trade?

Bosa at 4, Lynch at 20
Or
Goff/Wentz at 4, Spence/Lawson at 20

If the Dallas Cowboys covet Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch, they’ll likely have to make a trade in order to draft him.
There’s a prevailing theory making the rounds around the blogosphere involving the Dallas Cowboys; after the team’s private workout with quarterback Paxton Lynch last week, the Cowboys were so impressed that they will try to draft the gunslinger out of Memphis in the first round...

There are two ways the team will go about acquiring Lynch; the first scenario has Dallas using their fourth overall selection to fill another need in the 2016 NFL Draft and then them trying to trade back into the first round to grab Lynch.

The second option has the Cowboys trading down from the #4 spot in the first round, to say the Los Angeles Rams at #15, grabbing a couple extra picks in the early rounds of the draft and then picking Lynch with one of those selections...

It could be two trades involved there
first one up before Philly picks
then second with Jets
It could satisfy we're needs better
