Whoever drafts Wentz wins the Super Bowl constantly.

I dunno about that, let's look back at 2012 Draft Class. Luck was the highly touted best QB in that class, not many thought Russell Wilson would be the cream of that crop.
1 1 Indianapolis Colts Andrew Luck
1 2 Washington Commanders Robert Griffin III
1 8 Miami Dolphins Ryan Tannehill QB
1 22 Cleveland Browns Brandon Weeden QB
2 57 Denver Broncos Brock Osweiler QB
3 75 Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson

According to someone...

"Mike Francesca and he said he heard a rumor about Dallas getting back into bottom of the first and they have talked to Jets about it.

If this goes down, Dallas will give their #2, #3 and #6 picks based on the value chart and get Jets #1 (20th pick)."

Why not just trade up from #4 to #1 or #2 and take the best QB prospect, might cost us less than our #2, #3 and #6

Sounds dumb to me, but for the sake of argument, what's the better scenario if they do that trade?

Bosa at 4, Lynch at 20
Or
Goff/Wentz at 4, Spence/Lawson at 20

Like option 2 much better.

Spence > Lawson > Bosa
Goff > Wentz > Lynch

We trade up into the 1st to draft a RB that would be insanely stupid.

How? How is having a great running game insanely stupid at any 1st rd pick I really don't care about what everybody else does and or everybody else value the position like this because that's the way the league does it..

now that bs to me in this situation because obviously the best year Romo has had overall was 2014 and what was the formula and we were balance because we could do both whatever it takes to win run or pass it was like pick your poison take out Murray or Romo and Dez will eat you alive.. double Dez Murray still gonna get 4+ yds on 1st dwn and even if you had the line stacked he still turn 0 yd gains into 2-3 yds which is valuable in controlling the clock in my opinion meaning Zeke can do better than Murray imo and for this team overall including the defense

Zeke can be our Defenses and especially Romos best friend on Sundays

If We keep relying on Romo every game to have to make 85% of the plays in order to win then eventually History tells us he's gonna get hurt.. let Romo be Romo when we need him to be Romo meaning in certain situations not 90%of the game ...

reverse that trend get that man Zeke and quite playing! IF and only if you are trying to win now

just my opinion of how I see how this can work to a super bowl next year... Get Zeke 1st and then do whatever you want trade up for Lynch if you want to build the defense whatever

Because drafting a RB doesn't ensure he will be great.

Because we have too many holes to trade up.

Stay at 34 and take Booker if you want a RB so bad.

Booker hurt right now and had a lot of work in college meaning carries as well will his injury carry over that's def not a sure thing

cant depend on him either so what you mean? Zeke is not hurt and you saw him carry his team to a ship? ijs

I cant think of a single guy who is worth giving up a valuable high 3rd Rd and a 6th Rd pick, got to figure Lynch will be gone by then.

I wonder though if this is contingency thinking............... it's quite possible that Lynch could slide. We have all seen how these drafts go and suddenly one or two teams pass and then everyone thinks something is wrong and they stay away too.

People may think I am nuts, but I'd love to see us trade down a bit if we aren't going QB at 4, say trade even with Philly (give me their two third rounds and maybe a 4th rounder) or NYG (give me their second round pick), then use some of them to trade back into the first if someone slides.

Best Draft for this scenrio, Zeke @ #4 and Lynch @ #20, Dallas FO prolly thinking Ramsey/Lynch. Two Franchise Picks.

I'd want to blow my brains out.

So you take a RB at 4, then trade all your remaining premium picks to grab Lynch at #20 and ignore the defense in both the draft after you basically ignored the defense in free agency?

Sounds like a recipe for more middling on the field results if you ask me.

I could see us trading down from 4 and up from 34....certainly. You pick up something for moving down from 4 and still getting a very good player, and you give up something for moving back up into the first round to get another very good player. Could end up with 2 first round selections and a second rounder.

Francesca is Parcells' old pal and a fixture on NY sports radio. His connections to the Jets are strong.

Doesn't mean I believe it though. At least I hope not. The only reason you make that trade is for a QB and we should already be washing the feet of Carson with our grateful tears by that point.

And it's time to call MerryMaids again to clean up the floor. Risrn you are making Coca Cola and the floor cleaning industry rich. Rich I tell you! Lol

I'm a big Wentz guy, but I would be fine with Lynch. He's more raw, but with similar upside than Wentz.

The problem is that you have no idea where Lynch is going to land. He could go as high as #7. If you trade down to #15, that's where you take him. But Chicago might take him at #11. Even NO might take him. Brees isn't getting any younger. And with Sean Peyton getting an extension there, he will be looking for Brees' replacement soon.

It's just a huge risk. If you lose out on the top 3 guys, your done. Everybody else is a career backup, at best.
