A Tale of Two QB's

There actually is a GM who has and would... lol again how does this escape anyone? There is a GM who would start our current LB's as starting LB's in the NFL.. who would tell you "Hutch" threw the best ball or that he has never seen anyone throw a ball like "The 40 year old graduate" from oklahoma state....who would go into a season with Zeke as a number #1 RB recently... THERE IS A GM WHO WOULD DO ALL OF THIS
Kudos to you

Oh and I forgot to mention.... Goff has 2 championship appearances with 2 different teams. I think we can all safely assume that if Dak played both another team, he would never recover and would be out of the league in a season or 2.
I wonder what all of Goff’s stats and championship appearances would be if he played for the Cowboys.

Who cares about passer rating against trash teams ?

Playoffs are the only that count .
And the reason they matter most is...that's the ultimate goal. And those are generally good teams. You wanna be the best...you play and beat the best.

We haven't. There might be a lot of reasons for that...but Dak certainly is part of those reasons.

I think they are close as QBs but one had to be highest paid player in NFL history

Man...if only we had better coaching for Dak. Then we could lose in the SB like McVey with Goff.

It's not even close. Dak is the better QB, especially after playing under much lesser head coaches and a GM/owner. If Dak played under McVay or Campbell, he would have helped not only lead those Goff led teams to Super Bowls, but won them as well.

It definitely is not even close. Dak has achieved more stat-wise with much less than Goff has had to.
Homer take.

Yes, he had two playoff appearances, with two different teams. And failed with both teams. I don’t think Prescott would’ve failed if he had that talent behind him.
No, he would have disintegrated. It wasn't talent..it was Dak going blind from the pressure to compete.

Goff has had the expectations of being a #1 overall pick and living up to them. Dak was the 3rd string QB who lucked into having an all-pro RB his rookie year.

If Dak had Sean McVay and Ben Johnson he too probably would have championship appearance……if Goff was in Dallas he’d he Chad Hutchinson.
McVey would shipped Dak off to Cleveland and then got a real QB ...just like he did with Goff. Seems to have worked out for him...not so much for us trying to find a coach who can "fix" Dak.

Dak started his career coached by Garrett and Jerry as his GM.. Goff started with McVay.

Enough said.
He went to Lions and had no team, but took them to the playoffs in year 3, ending a significant drought and reaching the NFC Championship round, so no they are not the same. Goff was successful even during their major rebuild, closer Dak has come to a rebuild was 2018 and had t go get Amari bc he couldn't elevate others around him.

Read above, Goff has been through Major rebuilding one of the worst teams in NFL. So, yes, he has evidence that contradicts your claim.

Now compare their stats in playoff games and other "for all the marbles" high pressure regular season games.

If they were looking for a coach to fix him you’d think they’d aim higher then Garrett sbd McCarthy.

Agreed. Dak needs very special coaching in order to fix his demons. Probably better to get rid of the temperamental, delicate, but very expensive sports car that keeps failing. There's no mechanic that can fix it.

I wouldn’t go that far! Dak’s winning percentage against teams who finished the season with a winning record is .333% while his record against teams with a losing record is .848%.
Goff’s winning percentage against teams with a winning record is .468% and his winning percentage against teams with a losing record is .773%. Fact is, Dak is terrible against better teams while stacking stats on the weaker teams! Goff has a much better percentage against tougher competition.

LOL. Thanks for the laugh. Are you a professional comedian or it is just a hobby?
