It's one thing to rubberstamp someone else's decision. It's quite another to make the decision yourself. We pretty much saw what Jerry was like when he was rubberstamping Lacewell's decisions, instead of Jimmy's or Bill's or Ireland's.

Jerry did rubberstamp most of the draft decisions back then. That doesn't mean I think Jimmy gets 100% credit. I think Ackles and Wooten and the staff had considerable input too.

The reason Jerry gets about 30% is for his negotiations and involvement in several of the trades. When it came to the draft however, that was the scouts and Jimmys deal, with Jerry having his token "final say".
