I am very much a black and white poster. I don't usually over react to anything. I am not that high after wins and I am never too low after losses. That seems to bother you. I have no idea why.

LOL, i have seen you over react to many things, but believe whatever you want. I always look forward to your views but i think you take odd stances and you are stubborn to move from them. Saying something bothers me isn’t correct...it catches my attention. Now that guy calling me a cave man bothers me because he can get away with it.

Good post Hos.

Glad to see our defense picking it up these past few weeks.

One thing about this team, I've never seen both sides of the ball firing on all cylinders at the same time. If we can get both groups to play to their potential we should run through the NFC.

Atlanta could've helped us a great deal today, heres hoping Da Bears can knock Philly down another game.

We control our destiny, with the Raiders in a few days - gotta like where we stand.

I am very stubborn about my opinions, but I will admit when I am wrong. Trying to sway me to anyone's way of thinking is futile. Always has been. I am my own man and I know this game. I love this game. I love this team. I love the fans.

But I will openly admit, I am not very good at playing clown. (I love to joke around. Not the same thing.) Others see that as me over reacting. I honestly don't care. If you want a straight answer from me I will almost always give it if you have earned my respect. Baited questions not only don't amuse me, they rarely get off without a harpoon. If that is over reacting, so be it.

Hos was just kidding.

No one really believes the 3rd best WR on our team was going to Hawaii.

The problem we have right now is the same problem we had last year. Teams are loading up on Austin, and Roy isn't pulling his end of the bargain.

If we want to jump start this offense, ROY WILLIAMS has GOT to get going, no other way around it.

Either that or we could get some quicker developig routes out there. It just seems like our plays take way too long to develop.

He won't make it this year. I hope that was somehow satisfying for you, but I honestly don't care. That was a 2 part prediction by the way. How's the other half of that prediction looking? Or is that bad form on my part to be honest?

7-3, I guess that a positive.

I dont think its overreacting anymore. That was a pathetic display of football against a team that very much reminded me of the Scabskins that beat us during the strike of 1987.

Liked most of what we did in the run game. But not picking up several short yardage plays (including one by Choice, who was stoned) was pretty lousy, especially considering the other team didnt have their premier DT.

The offense looks lost to me. It isnt one guy either. Its not bad calls, or not running this play or that play. These guys take turns being keystone cops or captain F/U from series to series and game to game. Romo looked utterly useless until the last drive of the game. RW looked lost. The OL played ok, but then at times got manhandled too. Barber totally blew a great drive with a lame fumble. There were more untimely penalties again too.

Honestly, they should hang their heads in shame over these last two offensive performances.

I honestly wasnt impressed with the defense today. They allowed one of the more inconsistent, mediocre QB's in the league to complete virtually every 3rd down pass he tried (wasnt it 13/13?) The pass rush, despite playing against a totally outmanned OL (that even lost another starter during the game) did next to nothing most of the game. And they were back to missing a ton of tackles again today too. If we had played almost anyone other than the totally impotent Commanders, we'd have been blown out.

I think getting Witten and Bennett involved depper in the middle of the field is critical at this point.

On the other hand, despite a ton of success running the football, I dont recall one play action pass that actually worked. Which is just amazing.

Yeah, its a win. But to say this team is badly limping along here is an understatement. They have an awful lot of talent and I guess anything can happen, but I dont see how this team wins a single game in the postseason, if they get there.

Yeah, its a "w". Cant say much mroe than that. They absolutely deserved to lose today however and something is really wrong with them. Forget about December and the postseason, I have very little confidence in them even beating the lowly Raiders Thursday.

13/13????? actually that would be 47% [7/15]...the defense gave up no goal-to-go situations with only two red-zone penetrations that netted 3 points...giving up 6 pts in 60 minutes of football when your offense does'nt score until nearly the 58th minute is good defense...Spencer closes the show with an INT...maybe you should rewatch the game...it is CLEAR which unit came to play......

...Jason Campbell is a good quarterback when he can set up with good protection...just look at how he played the last two seasons against Dallas...he's very elusive but he's playing for the wrong team imo...they don't believe in him and it affects his play...

Very nice. I now have a new word for my vocabulary - usually I just like to say "Neanderthal" or "cro magnon" :laugh1:

You should research those too, because you would be incorrect in associating them with knuckle dragging.

Did you watch the game? Were you impressed?

We needed the other teams FG kicker, who had been perfect this yr to miss two in a dome to outlast a team that was totally outmatched from a talent standpoint. They're down to 6-7-8-9 type guys on the OL. They were down to their 3rd and 4th RB. They were missing their best receving weapon (Cooley). Their QB was benched a couple weeks ago because he was so medicore. They were missing their best defensive player.

Like I said, the Cowboys deserved to lose. We are incredibly fortunate to be 7-3 right now.

there is no such a thing. You win or you dont. The refs did not take it from them, both teams missed fg..but teams defense play well. The Skins should not have won no more than we should have.

Hos have to say that you said that the team was very high on Free

correcto muendo you were

and his play surprised me today - he played good - not as nasty as Columbo

but that should come with more playing time

but still would not mind taking a LT in the draft

This is where actually reading what was posted comes into play, I said Campbell was 13/13 throwing on 3rd down. Thats basically unheard of.

On the positive side for the Offense, people got the offensive balance they were screaming for after last week. It's too bad that didn't lead to the points that they swore were there if we just would stick with the run.

I disagree. The biggest thing I saw was the Cowboys were not balanced. Sure, the final pass / run play count appeared even, but that was quite deceiving.

By looking at the play-by-play

1st Quarter:
  • Running Plays: 12 (70%)
  • Passing Plays: 5 (29.4%)
2st Quarter:
  • Running Plays: 9 (52.9%)
  • Passing Plays: 8 (47%)
1st Half:
  • Running Plays: 21 (61.7%)
  • Passing Plays: 13 (38.2%)
3rd Quarter:
  • Running Plays: 4 (44.4%)
  • Passing Plays: 5 (55.5%)
4th Quarter:
  • Running Plays: 3 (21.4%)
  • Passing Plays: 11 (78.5.4%)
2nd Half:
  • Running Plays: 7 (30%)
  • Passing Plays: 16 (69.5%)

Garrett basically came out and did a complete turnabout and instead of passing all the time, he ran the ball 70% of the time to start the game. He could not have been more predictable and even London Fletcher said so.

The Cowboys were balanced in 2 quarters. The 2nd (17 plays), and 3rd (9 plays). The 1st (17 plays), and 4th (14 plays) quarter were extremely unbalanced and extremely predictable.

How predictable you ask? Garrett has been dogged for resorting to throwing the ball and giving up on the run. What type of pass play was he using? Shotgun? From 13:39 of the 4thQ, the Cowboys ran 13 straight pass plays from the Shotgun. (14 if you include Witten false start)

If you go back to 1:49 of the 2ndQ, The Cowboys ran 28 plays (not including kicks or kneel down). Of those 28 plays 21 were pass plays from the Shotgun. (or 75% of the plays were not only pass plays, but pass plays FROM the shotgun!)

Garrett learned nothing. This man is far too green to be running an NFL offense.

Jerry running Dan Reeves off is looking like a MAJOR mistake right about now. Reeves is an extremely smart football guy. Garrett would have had a great teacher to learn on the fly from.

I think Garret is a good guy, but he is in over his head right now.

I too believe the problems are "fixable", but there isn't much time. After this Oakland game on Thanksgiving, we go into a brutal December. If problems do not get resolved on the offensive side in that game, things could spiral out of control.

Call me a pessimist, but if this team is scoring less than 20 points per game going into December and they start to lose some close games, all the pundits will again begin talking about the December collapse.

One thing that I know about this team is that they don't seem to be mentally strong. They seem to have a fragile psyche. I just have a bad feeling that if they start to drop games and can't score in December, they're going to start thinking "here we go again".

The bright spot, as you said, is the defense. I'd like to see more takeaways too, but IMHO this is a championship caliber defense. If this offense can just get back to its aggressive, big-play personality they might be playing in that game. If not, they might not even make the playoffs.
