:laugh2: do you think he will actually answer this? he will just respond by insulting the fans. you know the fans who are the reason this team hasn't done anything in over a decade.

You just need to be more positive and nevermind those pesky results on the field.

Thats absolutely true.

I remember when we were 12-1 after coming from behind to beat detroit, everyone complained. Romo fumbles, our defense sucks....blah blah blah.......watkins and mosely did their usual, yea they have won 12 games but there not really that good bit.....

Its just the way it is and it stinks most of the time.

Really? How did that season work out for us a few games later? Were they really that far off in their assessments?

really?

So in the moment it was spot on to jump the team like they were 6-7 or something.

Funny, cause people are not doing that to the vikings. People wont do that to the saints and they wont do it to the colts.

And I will be willing to bet none of those teams win the whole thing this year either.

So why not jump on them now. Go find me a local reporter in minnesota today, writing an article about their win yesterday with a negative slant predicting doom and nitpicking normal happenings of a game.

Find me one, just one article in minnesota doing that.

I have plenty of ideas, but will you listen? That I don't know.

2006 when Tony Romo took over for Bledsoe has to be one of the most exciting things I have ever gone through as a fan. One bobbled snap and the guy got an unfair label.

You like to praise Parcells for building the team back from the ashes and I agree, he did. I think he was an absolute coward to leave the way he did. I think there was unfinished business and he left it undone. He forever lost my respect for the cowardly way he slunk out of town.

Wade Phillips was not my choice as Head Coach and you know that. He came in and in 2007 had a marvelous season then we got derailed by a very hot Giants team. I give them credit. They recognized Glenn and Owens were not 100%, played tight man on them and blitzed us until we folded like a house of cards. That is great football. Tearing down the 2007 Cowboys is nothing more than a piss poor way of taking credit away from the Giants. I won't do that.

2008 was an abortion. Plain and simple. I think we should have axed Wade. I think Dan Reeves should have been hired when we had the chance.

Tony Romo has played outstanding this month. There is no excuse for losing to the Giants. I refuse to blame the refs. We didn't tackle. You can't win if you allow 2 big plays like that. We didn't play horrible yesterday except in the Red Zone. There's no excuse for that.

The lack of joy even when we win is what is getting to me though. The disparity of traffic levels after wins and after losses is galling. The negativity after wins is galling.

While I'm sure it gets frustrating for them at times, but at the same time it's just a football forum and NO ONE is forcing any of them to be a mod if they really don't want to be one.

You know, I wouldn't put up with a paying job if it caused me that much grief - so I sure as heck wouldn't put up with a volunteer position if I absolutely hated doing it.
Maybe we're loyal to each other and don't want to leave our friends hanging. Have you ever bothered to consider that?

I guess that has to do with more and more fans looking at the big picture. When you can see the team go 12-1 and then lose three of the next four including one and done in the playoffs it makes it harder to get overly excited about the early season wins. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy every win we get, but at the same time I know it ultimately doesn't mean anything if they can't win in December and January. And for 13 straight years now, they haven't been able to do that.

13 years! I mean, there are kids in college now who were in kindergarten the last time we won a playoff game. Just let that sink in.

Yes, but that still comes down to your own personal choice. I mean I'm sure it would leave a huge void and all, but if you hate it as much as you say, I think they'd find some way to manage.

So you disagree? You think people should ignore the 13 year playoff win drought and just be positive and full of joy by being the annual Sept-Nov champs?

I took the time to actually think out my response to your direct question and you respond with that and this?

Thanks for that.

I just don't understand why people cannot accept the fact that the Dallas Cowboys, much like the Yankees have a very huge following that follow this team religiously.

Whenever you have a franchise that is so revered and hated, much like the Yankees, you are going to always have strong emotions, one way or the other towards that franchise.

Yes, people bag on the Dallas Cowboys because they love them so much.

Unlike the Colts, Vikings, Packers or other teams, the Dallas Cowboys have not won a Playoff Game since 1996. I remember when Al Michaels was doing a Cowboys game when Bill Parcells was here and I remember him just being amazed that this was the case.

I've lived in D/FW my entire life but I guarantee you that fans in other markets are similar to the fans in Dallas, I know because I listen to their local radio shows on the Internet.

So odd that people say that the fanbase is spoiled when we haven't won a Playoff Game since 1996.

Don't care about Minnesota, not relevant. Our lackluster performance post Greenbay was evident to many, sorry you missed it, it's been the preeminent theme ever since.
