did you chart how many blocks he had?

I'm pretty sure that on the play where Bennett got called for holding on the Romo scramble, Roy was supposed to be in Bennett's position but he had an asthma attack..I'm pretty sure Romo scores if Roy is blocking downfield on that play.

You won't be surprised when I say I'm not shocked. It didn't surprise me to see the 3 of you and your petty responses. I could have made book on it.

I'm eating a plate of crow for sure.

I was dead wrong on Miles, although I didn't want to give him away to NY. I just wanted him to get his opportunity.

He got his opportunity and man he's making the most of it. We are a different offense with him involved.

He's our now our number one wide receiver.

S.Star.....Rossum being cut....he sure froze on the single runback he had...he showed either no instinct for evasive action, or just doesnt have anything left.....He froze on the play--stood straight up and created a "jacked up" lowlight....

maybe he shows better in practice to earn another week....but all of a sudden we have "white shoes" Crayton back there so.......

I wonder were the "Dallas won't have any big plays now that TO is gone" comments are.

they're too busy sniffing Roy Williams' stat-line instead of enjoying a dominant win over the perceived better team in the Atlanta Falcons.

Oh, and Miles Austin's huge day. Again.

Your grammar and punctuation doesn't give you the right to criticize my word play.

Furthermore, my "word play" is really too high for you to grasp.

Sniffing stat-lines...sniffing...lines...drugs...you're on drugs...get it now? As in you're addicted to Roy Williams? Too much for you?

Us petty?

You got pretty petty at times over here.

He arrived here with plantar fasciatis. Football is a painful game. Far more painful than fans who call these players Glass will every realize.

Hostile;3030138 said:
Why are people hung up on what someone gets paid?

I don't get that. Guy contributes to what makes teams successful. End of equation for me. Whether he makes 45 dollars or 45 million is irrelevant.

Oh, and I like how you ignored the part about "moving the chains."

Hostile;3030175 said:
You need to look up how many of his receptions have resulted in a 1st down (including last year) before you spout this nonsense. He's been pretty consistent in moving the chains. Even last year when he hardly registered a notice.

Hostile;3030178 said:
What the hell are you 2 babbling about?

Hostile;3030204 said:
I should know by now not to bother with some people. They have no clear understanding of football.

Hostile;3030215 said:
I do NOT care. It is irrelevant to me. It is a stupid thing to be focused on.

Hostile;3030227 said:
Roy hasn't been a red zone target for the most part. That does not mean he isn't vital to this team.

Hostile;3030238 said:
I will never care for petty stuff about salaries, and this crap. I care about guys who make a football team better. Roy does. I am sorry that a bunch of myopic people cannot see how. Not my problem.

Hostile;3030268 said:
Yeah, I do.

I do not agree with the "WRs are paid to catch the ball" stuff. Every guy on the field is paid to help move the chains and the team win. I have seen Deion Sanders have a dominant game without defensing a pass or picking one off. I have seen a WR have a dominant game without a score. It happens when Defenses focus so much on that WR that other options are open.

I am not hung up on stats and salaries. I care more that this guy is honored to be here and is working his butt off to make the team better. He blocks downfield. I was a FB in college. You have no idea how much I respect him for that. I would take that over a bunch of catches with the current team because we have the horses to run the football.

I mean seriously, when are we going to be consistent with what we're *****ing about here? Either we want this team to run the football, or we want this team to put up huge stats for a guy we paid so much for. Make up your petty little minds. I'll take running the football and a guy who makes it possible for more yardage.

Roy Williams is "doing work" on every single play. I respect that. I always have. I always will.

Hostile;3030278 said:
I have already said on numerous occasions that I don't care about his contract. You might as well piss on a spark plug as to keep harping on it when responding to me. You'll get a better charge that way.

Hostile;3030331 said:
Not in construction you don't.

I am building an addition to your house that includes a bathroom with a stand up shower. The cheapest way to make your shower is a one piece fiberglass enclosure. The next cheapest is a ceramic tile enclosure. Then there is marble. You're telling me that you always go fiberglass?

They all perform the exact same function. So why aren't the all equal?

Because beauty, and return on investment, and other things like that factor into the equation.

Is every stove exactly the same? Why do people spend more for a glass top stove or for gas stoves? It is about preference.

In Roy Williams Dallas wanted a top 20 WR who was young enough to grow with this QB and team. They have it. Just like the marble, I feel it is a good investment.

I don't care what Jerry paid for Roy because it has not handicapped this team. We are a better running team because of his downfield blocking. I will take that and what he brings in the passing game and be glad.

I don't see the need to bellyache about the trade. It allowed us to jettison a malcontent. It was worth it for that alone.

Well, I suppose a good cry could fix it.

We still love ya Hos. Your downfield blocker is garbage though. ;)

I'm not addicted to Roy Williams, maybe addicted to making fun of the people who make up stuff about him, and getting you riled up

How about that Crayton? I knew he'd get motivated. As Witten said, we need all those guys.

Can't forget Newman's hit right after that play. I loved seeing the two of them celebrate together after that. Our D showed a little bit of nastiness that I've been hoping to see.

There is another thread where the Newman bashing is - well, to me its undeserved. He is at worst average, but can still play at an elite level at times. That hit he put on that poor Falcons player was textbook and he and Jenkins both seem capable run defenders as well. I'd keep Newman away from punt return duties though...
