I know you didnt, but alot did, but that being said he is needy. He needs confirmation and reassurance. He proved it on his show when he kept the paper that Jerry wrote on, to prove to the world that Jerry though he had done his job...as if 38 TDS werent enough.

I continue to state, my TO backing had more to do with RW11 had no proven chemistry, and Crayton is a good 3 but not a 1 or a 2, and Miles was fragile. It was all team oriented, not because of a TO fixation. I felt a few more wins and some confindence we were contenders. Sometimes the best change is to hold pat. I wanted Romo back (some wanted him gone) I wanted TO back, Wade back, Felix and Barber healthy, and make one more run at this thing.
I would have accepted TO back, but I am more glad that I did not have to. I never saw even one minute of his show. I appreciate you sharing that about him keeping that item to show it. I would not have known that.

No problem...I didnt know you were a writer. That is one thing I cant do. I tend to convey thoughts as if Im in a casual conversation with a buddy that knows what Im thinking or how I think already. Therefore Im not detailed enough to include the details.

Do you have any books out already?

No, just a documentary movie and some articles on the old west. I did 6 other movie scripts and they were bought, but not produced due to a change in plans by The History Channel. I got paid, so I didn't mind, but I wish someone would do them.

I have plans for 5 books in the works, but I am concentrating on 2.

I am going to share something that I never thought I would. I cannot give you exact quotes any more. Take this with a grain of salt. I am in no way the ultimate authority, and heaven knows I cannot back this up with concrete evidence from a named source.

Do you remember last year coming out of Training Camp when Romo predicted a breakout year for Miles Austin? The rift between Tony and TO started at that point I have been told. TO took that as an affront to his place on the team. I do not know what was said. I do not know what lies behind it. I do know I was "warned" that the team was in for a bumpy year because TO was going to turn on Tony because of that.

Like I said, take it with a grain of salt. I'll stand on my record here with regards to these bits of news, but please don't anyone take this as the gospel truth.

Very interesting tidbit. I can buy that, and if true, it would make perfect sense. Austin seems to be the only receiver that was not openly saddened by Owens' release.

Also, it seemed that Austin was the only receiver that Owens never gave full credit to. it was always Williams, Crayton, Hurd (his personal pet), and Stanback. Maybe he always felt threatened by Austin and that comment by Romo was the snowflake that sent the avalanche downhill.

Nice write up, but Miles Austin = Rocket Ismail? I can see the breakaway speed, but Austin's play is much more based on physicality (size & demeanor). If anything, Austin could be a bigger stronger Terry Glenn.

Both have great seperation and YAC ability. But Miles Austin is Irvin-like in his ability to shed tackles. I can see why so many compare him to a young Terrell Owens.

I liken Miles game to Sterling Sharpe's back in the day. Great ability to get open consistently in any coverage, effective outside and inside, good hands, terrific and deceptive speed, way above average strength.

Miles is probably faster, but Sterling's hands were better.

All season long I have remained calm. Unlike last year, I see momentum. Not going to say it means Super Bowl, but I see momentum. I'm encouraged even though I am trying to temper my encouragement even after a huge win over a very good team.
I think now is the time for the Cowboys to string together some win's, this is a great time since our schedule seems a bit easy, now is the time to gather confidence, get our defense playing powerful defense, and establish Austin, Witten Romo and Felix as the big 4, with Ware, Brooking, Ratliff and Jenkins being the big 4 on defense.

I can see that comparison, particularly RAC. To me, particularly after the catch, Miles runs like a RB playing WR. Defenses better get him down right away, because he has shown to be pretty slippery on more than one occasion.
