We can blame Romo for a lot of things yesterday, but I don't think that play was one of them. If Bailey had not illegally chucked Williams way downfield to avoid getting burned, Williams would have been farther downfield, and the pass wouldn't have been high.

Put any wide receiver out running a pattern and allow a defensive back to knock him off his route just before the quarterback throws the ball, and the passes are going to look mighty inaccurate.

Wrong.

Kyle Orton played just as bad as Tony Romo did.

He was horribly inaccurate throughout most of the game.

Yeah, right.

Romo = 59.5% comp. rate, 0 TDs, 1 INT, and a 67 QB rating

Orton = 69% comp. rate, 2 TDs, 0 INT, and a 117.5 QB rating

Yep, real similar. LOL

and if anthony spencer catches a ball thrown right to him and possibly goes the other way with it then what?

was that not pure luck? It was a horrendous decision. he has made one in each game and not one defender, mcdonald, huff and now spencer have hung onto balls thrown right to them.

stick around and watch orton all year, He is careless in the redzone and it will even out.

Oh Ok.

So break that play down for us mr. expert.

Please in detail explain to me how a stop and go where williams is running parallel with the numbers and the ball thrown in rhthym with that isnt screwed up when the player is shoved 3 yards to the left of the numbers and now has to make up for that by going to the ball at the highest point instead of running through it like it is drawn up.

Please, I cant wait to hear it. By all means explain to me how running straight then slowing down and going left 3 yards then going straight again is a better option than running straight.

Please. You have names for everyone, so break it down.

and on top of that, if this is ok why dont we just employ it as a strategy.

wait for the other qb to throw the ball and shove the wr out of the way.

I am curious how many qbs would get blamed for missing their targets then?

And I love how none of the national shows have even brought this up. They talk about the big hit but thats it.

This crew threw flags all day and then all of a sudden no one can see two blatant penalties.

Or on Monday Night Countdown, Chris Berman (that fat nasty blubbering jerk) is talking about the play in the endzone and you see Champs arm wrapped around Hurd and he says “looks like he made a pretty good play there...How bout them Cowboys!”

Bailey i guess plays by different rules in the league. And the Broncos are not an elite team. Makes me sick to hear Cowboy fans give them so much credit.

no need.

roy being the non-factor he is - got knocked around a LITTLE. WHOOP DE FRIKIN DO. The throw was pathetic. Roy would have been KOd with or without the "foul" you are grasping at. 1-2 steps more momentum to a KO.

Just a bad pass by romo, called by jerry's pet-project.

oh well, at least we are spared the spin & drivel defending RW #31/38. You remember that great SS we had here who NEVER made a mistake ROTFLMAO.

You have just made yourself look like a complete jerk. You don't even have the ability to debate something you seem to believe in so much.

No more questions your honor.

romo is overrated and choke artist

worst coaching staff in football

worst GM in football

BIGGEST HDTV IN JERRYS NEW SANDBOX

a couple of things.

None of that applies to me. I have been pointing out problems with this team all along. I think there is good and bad here and I feel like I have a decent reason why both are what they are.

Second, if your on the board and can respond why does the time matter, why would the time of day stop you from forming a rational informed response?

I think you're missing the point - this was just one play. It wasn't Romo's fault that the ball looked high because of the illegal contact on this one play. There's plenty of other examples to find for bad throws and plays from yesterday.

Good post, Hos, and a breath of fresh air from the doom-n-gloom threads that have dominated the board last nite/this morn (no different after any loss, I guess). I pretty much echo your sentiments and even after the bitter pill swallowed last afternoon, I still think this team has an opportunity to succeed...after all, we're only 1/4 thru the season! The way I look at it, 2-2 could easily be 4-0 if not for a few plays this season.

"The way I look at it, 2-2 could easily be 4-0 if not for a few plays this season"...true, but how many teams that are'nt 4-0 can say the same thing?

actually it all does apply

convincing adam, yourself or one of jerry's pom-pom waivers to change your mind would be as likely as Wade suddenly being a good coach and jerry a good GM.

re-read what i posted. you guys have EXCUSES for every play that goes against dallas. week after week, game after game, draft after draft, year after year now.

if you think that was a good throw then congrats. You guys heads are buried so far in the sand you'll have a group hug in china soon. there is nothing to breakdown or talk about.

really, have a great night.

Do you even like the team?

It was one play. Williams got knocked off his route. It wasn't Romo's fault. Many other things were. This play was obviously not. Get over it.

The NFL needs to get some consistency on its officiating. This play and the final play where Champ is clearly interfering with Hurd were not hard to see. Yet one of them saw a picky holding call on Bennett that cost Dallas a 17 yd run.

The officiating gets worse every year.

If you want to get really picky, not only should their have been an illegal contact, but you could very well have thrown a flag hitting a defenseless wr.

It looks to me like the ball was already in the air. Should have been pass interference.

That video is eye-opening. I really don't think that was a bad throw after all.

I know compaining about the officiating is predictable after a loss, but I have to say, that was the poorest officiated game I've seen in a while. (And not just calls that went against the Cowboys.)
