We can blame Romo for a lot of things yesterday, but I don't think that play was one of them. If Bailey had not illegally chucked Williams way downfield to avoid getting burned, Williams would have been farther downfield, and the pass wouldn't have been high.

Put any wide receiver out running a pattern and allow a defensive back to knock him off his route just before the quarterback throws the ball, and the passes are going to look mighty inaccurate.

Kyle Orton played just as bad as Tony Romo did.

He was horribly inaccurate throughout most of the game.

was that not pure luck? It was a horrendous decision. he has made one in each game and not one defender, mcdonald, huff and now spencer have hung onto balls thrown right to them.

Please in detail explain to me how a stop and go where williams is running parallel with the numbers and the ball thrown in rhthym with that isnt screwed up when the player is shoved 3 yards to the left of the numbers and now has to make up for that by going to the ball at the highest point instead of running through it like it is drawn up.

Please, I cant wait to hear it. By all means explain to me how running straight then slowing down and going left 3 yards then going straight again is a better option than running straight.

None of that applies to me. I have been pointing out problems with this team all along. I think there is good and bad here and I feel like I have a decent reason why both are what they are.

Second, if your on the board and can respond why does the time matter, why would the time of day stop you from forming a rational informed response?

I think you're missing the point - this was just one play. It wasn't Romo's fault that the ball looked high because of the illegal contact on this one play. There's plenty of other examples to find for bad throws and plays from yesterday.

Good post, Hos, and a breath of fresh air from the doom-n-gloom threads that have dominated the board last nite/this morn (no different after any loss, I guess). I pretty much echo your sentiments and even after the bitter pill swallowed last afternoon, I still think this team has an opportunity to succeed...after all, we're only 1/4 thru the season! The way I look at it, 2-2 could easily be 4-0 if not for a few plays this season.

Do you even like the team?

It was one play. Williams got knocked off his route. It wasn't Romo's fault. Many other things were. This play was obviously not. Get over it.

The NFL needs to get some consistency on its officiating. This play and the final play where Champ is clearly interfering with Hurd were not hard to see. Yet one of them saw a picky holding call on Bennett that cost Dallas a 17 yd run.

The officiating gets worse every year.

If you want to get really picky, not only should their have been an illegal contact, but you could very well have thrown a flag hitting a defenseless wr.

It looks to me like the ball was already in the air. Should have been pass interference.

That video is eye-opening. I really don't think that was a bad throw after all.

I know compaining about the officiating is predictable after a loss, but I have to say, that was the poorest officiated game I've seen in a while. (And not just calls that went against the Cowboys.)
