Two firsts, two 2nds, Haden and Pryor then we can talk

Philly traded how many picks for the opportunity to draft Wentz before Wentz played a single play in the NFL.
How many 1st round picks is Dak worth - at least 3 1st and I mean HIGH first round picks

If Dallas gets the #1 overall pick - they better get Myles Garrett.

That's where I thought he was going with it, and I was like 'hrrmm...' It's a more interesting question, anyway. Garrett is likely to be the 'Dak' of pass rushers.

You just can't give away what you think is the future at the QB position. It would have to take multiple 1st round picks to even have the Cowboys consider it.

More like the Browns 1st in 2017 and 2018. On top of their 2nd in 2017 and maybe 3rd in 2018.

But even then, we'd be hoping to strike gold for a second time with a young QB. And we all know how rare that is.

In my opinion, Dak is pretty much the only player I wouldn't trade on the roster.

People around the water cooler came up with this.

1. In the off-season seek a trade with the Browns.:

They get Dak
Dallas gets their 1st and 3rd
They get nothing else from Dallas.

They get what Jimmy Johnson thinks should have been the 1st over-all pick at a 4th round price. Dallas gets the future.

2. Romo returns to being the starter for a couple of years.

3. Dallas drafts - with the 1st over-all - a quarterback to sit and learn from Romo.

4. Dallas builds a defense with teeth, a replacement for Free, and a WR to cause Dez to stay interested.

I know this will get murdered here, but what do you think?

Are you sure that was a "water cooler" they were around? That must have been some strong water. lol

The people at your water cooler must be special needs. So you get a GEM in the 4th round, you have Romo on the books that need to go off the books, your QB salary for the foreseeable future is really team friendly, and they suggested to get rid of cheap labor, and move in a different direction? Nice read, I haven't laughed harder.

What Cleveland first are we talking about? Their pick or the one they got from Eagles?

Does it matter? The only thing dumber than trading Dak for a pick towards another QB, is trading away the future of the franchise for a single 1st round pick. lol
So true. No way I would even consider this trade. Dak will improve.

To elaborate further...

The only way I'd consider trading Dak to Cleveland is if we got both of their 1st round picks this year and their 1st next year as well.

That would give us 5 first round picks in 2 years assuming we don't trade ours away.

This year (according to current draft order)

1. (from CLE) Myles Garrett - DE Texas A&M
8. (from CLE) Jabril Peppers - LB/S Michigan
32. (DAL) John Ross - WR Washington

2018:

Too far away to predict, but a QB with Cleveland's 1st and a playmaker on the defensive line with our 1st.

If that could become a reality, then perhaps we could part with Dak.

Any trade involving Dak is crazy. We landed a franchise QB in the fourth round and some want to trade him? One bad game and some are already jumping ship. lol

You have some ignorant ****s at your workplace.

However, for ***** and giggles, if you were going to trade Dak he arguably has the most value he ever would, higher than any first pick coming into a draft because he already has shown he is an NFL QB. It isn't ifs and buts with Dak, so the deals that the Commanders gave up for RGKnee and the deal that the Eagles gave up for Wentz would be the starting points.

The Eagles gave up a high first, a high third rounder and fourth rounder in the current year, , a high first rounder next year and a high second next year. All that for Carson Wentz. They did get a 4th rounder next year back.

The Commanders gave up a high first, a high second, next year's first and the following year's first.

So, it would be a joke to get only a first and a third. You would have to get the Browns first and second this year, their first the next year and their first the following year. That would still leave Cleveland with their second #1 this year but gives them their franchise QB. Anything less wouldn't even be close. The one thing is they get their franchise QB for a song money and cap wise so they could invest in a couple significant free agents.

Delusional is all I can say!!!! Why trade a healthy 23 year old QB. You don't know if Romo can take a hit!!!!

If you want to build a dynasty you don't trade a potentially great young QB after their rookie year that you struck gold with in the 4th round. If you trade Dak the first round pick you get will have to be used on another QB. lol

I like you buddy but this is crazy
I'm not trading a likely franchise QB for the hope of finding one
