Saw an article saying he may be traded because the Rams can't sign him. Would you give up two first rounders for him which seems to be the asking price. He would put this defense over the top. Thoughts?

This should be a test to see which fans understand the modern NFL and the current CBA.

They fail the test if they want to give up two firsts for a player that requires a huge contract. The only exception is for an elite QB but even then it better be something like Aaron Rodgers when he was 28.

Suh 1yr deal $16m expires 2018
Joyner 1y $11.287m expires 2018
Sam Shield 1y $915k expires 2018
Havenstein 1y $976k expires 2018

The reason why you cant find these players under cap is because they are not under contract during that year, some will get deals, some will move on.

They are in a very good position cap wise. Donald will get a deal, looking at around $24m per year and around $65m guaranteed.

Mack will get traded from the Raiders.

And the numbers come in for Donalds deal with the Rams

6Y/$135m $87m guaranteed around $22m per year.

Mack will want similar deal, the Raiders wont pay, and will look to trade, asking price 2-1sts

David Irvin will put up Donald's sack numbers if he plays the whole season. He'll be good longer because he's not as speed dependent. Once Donald slows, he's done because he's undersized.
