Then we sign Melton
Donald is so good he won't make it to the Texans pick .. Somebody will get him before the draft starts
Somehow
Only if they cut Peppers.
He is a good fit for only certain teams ahead of us. The Bears are one. Who are the others?
I don't want him cause his name is boring
Usually the boring name players aren't any good
I don't care HOW much Mayock and all the 'experts' like him..he's undersized and I am not impressed. Unlike most in here, I watched him play a few times the last few years: didn't impress against good teams like N.Dame
I would be alright with d-line, o-line, LB, or S in the first round as long as the guy is complete stud.
I'd rather have an elite safety than a pretty good d-lineman. You can get the pretty goods in later rounds.
Bill Polian which I trust more than the other "experts" loves him. Said if you are tampa 2 d like Dallas hes a perfect 3 tech. People say hes underzied but 3 tech doenst require some huge fat guy. lol its about getting off the ball and getting to the qb. He does that.
Sure, he's perfect for this defense. I don't doubt he could come in here and play well. But I look at the bigger picture. I hate this scheme. Drafting a one dimensional fit like Donald would only more firmly entrench us in this scheme. That's why I want no part of Donald in this draft.
What would it cost to jump Chicago? A 3rd?
Freaking this. He's, in a sense, too good of a fit. The scheme sucks.
Well, Donald wasn't a "pretty good d-lineman" at Pitt. He was a multiple award winning, dynamic 3 technique DT who fits the defense Dallas runs to a Tee. He isn't a "pretty good" prospect, he is an exceptional prospect if you run the defense Dallas runs. He fits what Marinelli wants out of his 3-tech perfectly, and plays a position that is the most important one in Dallas' defense.
Donald will be long gone by 16. He'll never get past Chicago at the latest.
And I didn't list Donald as a "pretty good" player.
My bad. When you said "I'd rather have an elite safety than a pretty good d-lineman.", I thought you were referring to Donald.
