I usually don't start post but this really has me pissed. Aaron Rodgers is behind Dak in relatively EVERY Category/STAT they keep for NFL QBs and he beats out Dak for the Pro Bowl. Now I know its sometimes a popularity contest and I know that if its close then you go with the all pro. Maybe its about the winning record, but don't tell me DAK hasn't outplayed Aaron Rodgers this season. I aint crying but this is some BS. Dak has nearly a thousand more yards passing.

Rk Player Team Pos Comp Att Pct Att/G Yds Avg Yds/G TD Int 1st 1st% Lng 20+ 40+ Sck Rate
2 Dak Prescott DAL QB 340 519 65.5 37.1 4,334 8.4 309.6 26 11 204 39.3 62 61 13 18 99.3
11 Aaron Rodgers GB QB 300 474 63.3 33.9 3,463 7.3 247.4 24 2 157 33.1 74T 47 12 32 100.4
The Pro Bowl is a joke, yes.
Also, they base voting on about 2/3 of the season....so a full 1/3 (or half of what they used) is still left to be played.
I'm not sure Dak is in the top 3 in the NFC, but I agree the Pro Bowl selections can be silly

Roger's higher passer rating to go with 24 TDs and only 2 ints (a whopping 22 differential) probably helped. Also his team is 11-3
But Dak has put up bigger volume numbers than Rodgers, and has a better ESPN QBR on a 8-8 team
The deserving one might be Kurt Cousins---who has a WAY higher passer rating than both Dak and Rodgers, plus he still has 25 TDs and only 5 ints on a 10-4 team.

So would you rather have Dak over Rodgers???

I think if they errored and were to change their minds and take rogers out , you realize Cousins is the next qb up that was snubbed..i believe hes got similar to better numbers on a better team. so? either way daks out..

Are you serious....?

Rodgers has the best OL in the league... and it's not remotely close.
:omg::lmao:

Come on Q

In a thread discussing the Pro Bowl, Dallas has an insane THREE Olineman starting in the Pro Bowl. That's almost unheard of.

Rodgers has been more efficient. This isn't difficult to get.

Oh, he's working with a lot less when it comes to receivers.

Maybe. He has a slightly higher rating at 100 versus 99 but Dak has the higher completion percentage and the much better QBR.

And I am far from a Dak apologist as some can attest. But this smells like a lifetime achievement award more than anything.

But it doesn't....

Rodgers isn't working with what Dak has. Our O-Line is ranked better, our receivers are better, our RB is better.

O-Line rankings - https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol/2019

RB rankings - https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/rb/2019

WR rankings - https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/wr/2019

The simple fact is, with less to work with, Rodgers is having the better season. Oh, and he has a better total record, oh and he has a better common opponents record, oh and he beat us in our house.

I can't think of anything Dak beats him in that is meaningful.

No worries, pretty much every QB and their mother makes the Pro Bowl eventually after half the league bails out for one reason or the other.
Recall that Dak actually made the game LAST year.
Nobody would've mistaken him as a Pro Bowler last year. Even Mitch Trubisky made it.

So yes, this year, when he is actually more deserving, he'll find a way in there along with Cousins and others

Except there are multiple in the league with three pro bowl quality OL.

Chiefs, Eagles, Phi, GB, Dal.

He's completely off the mark. Our line is highly rated this year, the only O-Line I am seeing that is ranked higher in some stats is New Orleans. GB has a good line, but I'm not sure where he's getting they are the "best in the league and it's not even close" - I'm not even sure their line is better than what is going on in Tennessee right now.

Who cares... the PB means nothing.. a PBJ is much better and all you have to do is just add 1 more letter.

I have no idea who "new-age analytical" is. I can at least go to Football Outsiders and see how they come to their conclusions.

You can go to ESPN and see pass rush win rate. It's just as easy as going to FO, which just crunches sack and pressure numbers to come up with their OL pass rankings.

Your so much better off not knowing.
Using your "Old School Evaluation Standards", that I like to refer to as OSES is a much more valuable tool.
