So you never explained how Green could be following the same pattern as Martin and Jacobs and not conclude he would end up like them.

Never said Green was following the "same" pattern I used the word "pattern" and "similar" and "similar" doesn't mean the "same." I never concluded he would end up like Martin and Rogers and it's "Rogers" not Jacobs. That was your take. The book has yet to be written on Green. Patterns can change we'll just have to wait and see how it goes with him.

So why bring up the pattern in the first place?

Because there's been a pattern and I'm not the only one that's said it. The only discussions that have come up about him have been about his injury and his cramp. It would be refreshing to hear that he look good at OTA's and have a discussion about his performance but that hasn't happened yet.

I didn't ask for a repeat. I asked why bring up the pattern. What does it mean? What does the pattern lead to? What is its significance?

For what it's worth, I asked Broaddus about the chances of Green challenging Free for the starting Right Tackle job this year and this was the response:

So, it seems that at best, we can hope for Green to be the backup swing tackle this year.

This is just you wanting to keep this argument going because you have a pattern that never changes. You're asking why bring up a pattern and what does it mean when I already documented it earlier in the thread. The pattern means all we've heard about with Green up to this point was his hip injury last June and him walking off the practice field this June with a cramp. The only news about him since he arrived has been an injury and ailment. Last June the only discussion about him was his hip injury. It was reported he would be limited in camp but the next news we here he was put on PUP and we discussed that.

This year all we've talked about with him was his return from his hip injury and we're on the 10th page of a thread started because he had a cramp at OTA's. We've yet to discuss anything concerning his play and performance. If this pattern continues it's certainly not going to lead to anything good with him but it's early and patterns can change. The significance of the pattern he's followed so far will keep him from battling for a starting job. If all we keep hearing about is him coming off the practice field with something and never anything about his performance he won't pan out.

I think that was probably their plan all along.

Boy, this thread went sideways.

Provide the post where I said knee jerk and let's see what I was referring to? lol The only troll act is performed by you and those who try and make every discussion I'm involved in about me.

So he has a cramp and a knee jerk? Cut him!

Boy, this thread went sideways.

When you have people who are just looking to start trouble by making a huge issue out of every little comment someone makes that usually leads to a thread going sideways. There's no reason a topic about a 3rd round draft pick who has yet to play a down for the team should turn into rock throwing and insults.

It takes zero effort to ignore perceived slights and just move on.

Trust me, you'll be much happier.

Trust me ignoring it doesn't stop it no one knows that better than I do. lol To stop it you have stand your ground and let posters know that if they push you you're going to push back. Some here have an agenda of trying to run people off and no regular poster/posters are going to butt into a discussion I'm having and try and harass me into moving on. That's not happening!

Everything I've seen, read or heard about Chaz Green is that he is a high probability "bust" and
that some other UDFA might beat him out. He's becoming a perpetual "first-aid" sponge.
We've had several players like that over the years.

It's what happens when you try to outsmart the league by picking up injury-prone players or players coming off significant injuries. Even the ones that work out for a little while seem to be ding magnets.

The book on him was he had durability issues which caused him to fall in the draft. He started practicing with the team last Nov and here we are in mid June and he appears out of shape having to leave practice in back to back days. This is not a good sign.
