The Guy clearly has a lot of issues going on........and I suspect this will be his last year in Dallas..

http://cowboysblog.***BANNED-URL***...rrect-diagnosis-and-tough-times-at-home.html/

I would say at least 2/3 of all that was not his fault. He was unfortunate enough to be born to most of it. Now he clearly has made some mistakes of his own but I would list him as one more sinned against then sinning.

And he seems happy here. So I am willing to cut him some slack.

Yessiree, Jimmy didn't bother to justify his means, since with him it was the end result that justified what he did.
It might not have been fair nor right, nevertheless, it worked. I believe it's actually a big part of the reason why, in the end, he opted to find a way out. In his own words, he later declared "I actually hated the person I had to be."

Treating people fairly doesn't mean you treat them the same. In fact more often than not it's the exact opposite.

There are a lot of people in this world I don't want to be treated similarly to.

Every time he does something people.already think he quit on the team, last year during camp to some of you he had quit so many times yet he started at MLB all this is voluntary and players rehab where they want. No biggie.

Hate to say it but I tend to agree, despite the typical denials from some here. All you have to do is look at his history and look at his current conduct. He may or may not be a bad person, but he does have some troubling issues. I wish all the best for him as a person first and foremost.

The guy is just not going to be a reliable part of the mix.

You take the good with the bad.
Everyone understands Ro is a head case. But if you're willing to deal with that, you will get a blue chipper player on Sunday.

Each club has to decide whether they can or can't deal with such players. I may not have liked Jimmy Johnson as a person, but as a football coach, he was one of the best. And it started by being up front. If you're going to have a sliding scale for fairness, be up front about it. Don't try to preach, fairness than treat players unfairly.

Jimmy was honest about it. I suspect Jason Garrett learned something from Jimmy. He understands that Ro is a different cat than Jason Witten. But I think he understands that Witten understands this too and is comfortable enough to understand why he may treat Ro differently than other players.

Ro is kind of like Charles Haley - you endure the nonsense because you know what he can give you on Sunday.

Well, yeah but the point Jimmy wanted to make was that he was tired of playing the bad guy. I don't blame him for that, having to push people to do all those things they don't wanna do. I believe that's what he meant. Most folks, though, actually only want to be treated the same if someone else is treated well -- but certainly not badly if someone else is. They'll love you if it's their way and hate you if it's not.

McClain is like that friend that is quick to ask for everybody's help when he's moving to a new apartment, but disappears from site when it's his turn to help you.

We got plenty of depth this year. Lee, Hitchens, and Brinkley can all play MLB. They have the ability to work with Ro and help coax him along-- and if he can't hack it-- they can cut him and move on.

At this point-- there is no need to fret about this. Garrett will deal with this in house and keep it in the family.

no excuse for him to be rehabbing away from the team. Now Red is saying they aren't sure he will show up to mandatory minicamp?

Dude sure doesn't act like he wants to play football. Pretty sure this is why every other team passed on the chance to sign him this offseason.

I would be shocked if he makes it another year.

In the Press Conference, Red didn't really say that he was unsure, he just didn't answer the question. He implied that he wouldn't be able to participate anyway because of the knee issue.

Yes, the Cowboys had made plans to move on from McClain and then he changed his mind and signed. I think their initial plan was to have Hitchens and Brinkley compete for the MLB spot in TC.

The issue about rehabbing at home as opposed to Dallas is different for McClain than for a Ray Lewis. McClain thrives when he is in a structured environment, as shown when he was with Nick Saban. His troubles pop up when he is at home and nobody is looking out for him. He doesn't have the self discipline of a Ray Lewis. Not yet anyway.

So when McClain is in Alabama and even Garrett doesn't know when he will show up in Dallas again is concerning. It would be best for McClain, as a football player and as a person, to be in Dallas and around the team structure the Cowboys provide.

All that being said, Garrett and Marinelli seem to be covering all their bases with Hitchens in the middle. They also have a flock of LB's to step in if and when the need arises.

It really depends on what his rehab is right now, is it stay off your feet, ice it twice a day and take these pills for the pain. Or is he doing actually light resistance exercises that can be done anywhere. It sounds like 'his" docs are keeping in touch with the Dallas training staff.

I dunno, i think he might half a burning desire to play and thrive. With enough work I am sure he can catch fire and be productive.

Also with the track record this training staff has had I do not know even as fan if I hurt myself I may have to forego watching games for fear that a strained groin could land me on the DL for 4-6 weeks.

Let's see if the staff is upset over this before getting our undies in a bunch. If they're OK with it, it's not our problem.

Red said yesterday that his rehab is doing very well. Which means they're keeping track of it which he also said last week. I'm waiting for Mandatories before I step up my dissapointed game of him not being in Dallas.

Guy cant be counted on, plain and simple.

I agree and concur.

Sometime i think to myself and myself say, he say: Why are we so lucky to half the McClains, Hardys and McFaddens of this world?
Then mein big brain is blinded by cynicism and I think of how jerra is basically a little kid (with a good heart) with a lot of money. More money that Kim Darby half!
So while Jerra do a LOT of good things for our team he also has a bigger heart than a brain and sometimes we get these problem childs.

OK I am through i am sure you like my analisis.
