Guess where Ray Lewis, ed Reed Rehabbed their injuries, I will give you hint there were no ravens on the building. This more common than you realize.

If he was half of either of those guys i wouldnt care

I would say at least 2/3 of all that was not his fault. He was unfortunate enough to be born to most of it. Now he clearly has made some mistakes of his own but I would list him as one more sinned against then sinning.

And he seems happy here. So I am willing to cut him some slack.

IIRC, he has a custody issue with his kids and needs to be in Alabama to see them. I could see where it would seem like a waste of time to be in Dallas right now when he can't practice.

I hate this free fall of before camp crap coming from the media, if it has but one credible feature to them....it's negative about the Cowboys, and can pass purely on being subjective.

Did you see the article "10 Things to Know About McClain" posted last night. They went back to when he came out of the womb .... as if we didn't already know.

There was one new thing (actually 2) I didn't know: he was in the Deans list a couple times and he has "engineer" type intelligence. He also was misdiagnosed with a serious illness.

Some people need to use some 2nd level thinking when discussing DefRo.
I've read a lot of write-ups about how this guy will do a lot to not have to practice, so this is really not surprising. I'm sure he will show up when training camp comes because that is when he starts getting paid money (might have some minor "injuries" during camp though).
Can you provide some of those links?

I don't have any of them saved, but there is a blurb in this Sturm article from today that indicates he has heard similar rumblings from someone in the Dallas front office......

The Guy clearly has a lot of issues going on........and I suspect this will be his last year in Dallas..

8 out of about 10 of those things are from about 10 years ago.

I would like to see 5 of you people on this Board succeed and thrive under his circumstances. I'm losing my mind right now because somebody raised their voice to me at work. Please.

This is what you're going on? Ok. His coaches have directly said something different. I listen to all the post and pre game and practice interviews.

So you think he is average to below average as football player.

He was above average for a while, then the season wore on.

Garrett didnt seem to thrilled in his pc about him not being there. He.s certainly not someone you can say, he.s working out on his own, he will be fine.

I've read the same line from Mike Fisher (insert your attacks on him here) as well as Brian Broaddus and Nick Eatman on both Cowboys broadcasts, Break and Talkin' Cowboys. (insert your attacks on their credibility here)

Fact is that they're right. There is always something with him. That's why the Raiders cut him. That's why the Ravens traded him away. And that's why he's on a one-year, pay-as-you-go deal with the Cowboys. Benefit of the doubt has left town.

Hopefully, he shows up for mandatory practices next week, if just to check in as he's supposed to. And then he has a quiet, productive season. Better for him, and better for this team.

No, that isn't all I am going on, but I don't have the articles saved and upon a quick google search was not able to retrieve them. A quick google search is really all that I have time to invest in this as I am working on a SQL project and can only check in during the few minutes here and there when tests are running. You are welcome to not believe me, it is certainly your right to do so, but I would respectfully ask that you not manipulate my words, as I did not state that Sturm's article was all I was going on.

We have no idea what his rehab schedule is. Garrett also said they know his rehab is moving along as planned.

Yes, the Cowboys would not have him if he didn't have some issues. Fans want a player for swap of a 6th and 7th round pick and a low cap hit, but also want that player to be perfect.

I see McClain like I have learned to see underlings at work. In the past I would get frustrated with people at work for being stupid; however, at some point I realized that their stupidity is the reason I get paid so much.

some people have complicated lives- not all their own fault. Are you one to throw stones?

I don't think anyone ever mentioned wanting 'perfect', but the never-ending series of issues gets tiresome.

But I think we all hope he shows up for mandatory minicamp one way or another and goes on to have a great season.

Is that what it is now?

A 'complicated life'?

Is that the newest Rolando McClain excuse term? His get-out-of-jail free card for each and every issue that comes up?

Just so I'm up to date on the latest excuse for a guy who apparently needs so many...

We don't need him to be a leader, we need him to show up on game day and smash people for the like $2 mil we're paying him. He, Hardy, Gregory and Collins all fell from the sky into our laps. I'm happy with the situation.

With the logjam at linebacker (literally knocks on wood)

He's a bonus at this point, and a damn good one when he gets on the field.

Don't fret over this, it ain't worth your time.

There's a logjam at linebacker? All I see is a injury prone Sean Lee and a young Hitchens. I'd be more confident if we still had Durant and Carter here but the line backing group has some questions.
