About "Adam Jones" and "Terry Johnson"...

I would like everyone to know that henceforth I shall only respond when reffered to as "30".

Yeah but you're not "The Original 30" :)

It is the same. There is no judge to decide what reasons are legit and what aren't. Ali's reasoning is no better than Pacman's.

Muhammed was making a statement, which is why he had his name legally changed, I don't know how anyone could say the 2 are the same

But Pacman does.

sure he does, but you were trying to speak for him, I wasn't

JERRY: So what about the "Maestro" stuff. Did he make you call him Maestro.

ELAINE: Yeah, I called him Maestro.

JERRY: You didn't mind?

ELAINE: Well, I did at first, but actually I kind of got used to it.

JERRY: O.K. from now on I want you to call me "Jerry the Great."

ELAINE: I am not calling you "Jerry the Great."

JERRY: Why not? You call him Maestro.

ELAINE: He is a Maestro.

JERRY: Well, I'm great.

Sorry, but I don't respond to "bbgun" anymore. Make it "Your Lordship.":

I'm sorry, but I have to disrespek you by calling you by your government name

Nobody would be calling him "Adam" if he hadn't gotten into trouble with the law. Nobody calls Tiger Woods "Eldrick".

Since Pacman's been in trouble with the law, people think they know what's best for him, and dropping his nickname is the right way to begin putting the kid in his place.

You wouldn't call him that to his face if he asked you not to.

Let's also photoshop any pics of him wearing baggy pants and replace them with slacks up to his waist.

I bet when he got sentenced for that no contest plea the Judge referred to him as Adam Jones. And I bet "Adam" didn't say, "actually I prefer Pacman." And if he had, the Judge would have said, "Adam Jones, how do you plea?"

The style of the case was probably something like The State of Nevada vs. Adam Jones. The whole state of Nevada is disrespekkin Packman!!! Dey be hatin!!

Nav22 you never answered my post on page two. I feel kinda left out. And just for the record, would you post a link that shows Adam Jones saying we must call him Packman.

PS I if meet him I would 100% call him Adam (his christian name not government name).

I like the ebonics there. Shows me the motivation for using "Adam", confirming what I already knew.

His "thug nickname" must be done away with! And pull up your pants, Adam!
PS I if meet him I would 100% call him Adam (his christian name not government name).
Then you'd be 100% disrespecting his wishes. And you'd call him "Adam" just once if he corrected you.

I don't have a link, but a few people in this thread (who hold your position on the "Adam" issue, not mine) confirmed that Mickey asked him what he preferred, to which he replied Pacman. Brad Sham told Pacman he'd like to start using Adam, but Pacman replied, "No, I'm Pacman."

I guess we will agree to disagree on this topic. I hate the off season where normal diehard Cowboy fans get a little nuts.

And that really is what it boils down to. Its disrespectful plain and simple.

People talk about us making a big deal about it when they go out of there way to try and make a point and using an uncommon moniker for him.

But that is truly what is sad, the demographic cannot make a compelling argument how we are wrong. instead they say were making too big a deal of it. Further proof that they have zero justification.

Fuzzy my man, its not an uncommon moniker ITS HIS NAME.

The argument you guys are making is calling the man by his name is disrespectful. If he doesnt like his name he can change it easily

As long as we're making assumptions, I'm going to assume that people are calling him Adam also as a show of respect towards those who named him.

So there.:laugh2:

I'll make a deal with you, Nav22. I will never again call him Adam when he himself tells me as much.

It's funny. Until this thread, I always used Pacman rather than Adam; however, after reading some of these posts, I now have an insatiable desire to call him Adam.;)

So had I :laugh2:

Nice try to deflect the point of my post. Are you this dense in real life?

Do you think Adam told the Judge he preferred Pacman? Do you think the judge called him pacman? Do you think the judge disrespected him if he called him Adam? Do you think the judge cared? Do you think the judge would call him Pacman if he told him that's what he preferred?

If your answer to any of these questions is anything other than that two letter word than begins with an N, then I know the answer to my first question.
