Giants fans may be referencing Phil Simms' comments from this past Sunday's pre-game radio show "The NFL Now with Mike Francessa". Francessa has Simms on every Sunday morning after the 9:30am break, and this past week, Francessa asked Phil what he thought of Romo.

Phils comments were not necessarily ripping Romo, but he did indeed say that the offense took out a lot of stuff (didn't really say what) when Romo became the starter, and also that "they" (meaning the coaches I guess) make the reads real easy for Romo. He did say that Romo was taking advantage of a good system for him, and that he plays with a confidence that winners have.

But that is not true either. They added in plays for Romo. Could you ever imagine them runny the empty backfield set with Bledsoe? That would be a recipe for a disaster of epic proportions.

Wow, you didn't even try to look at stats before trolling, did you? Romo averages 13.2 yards per completion (Brees is 12.5), which is number 2 behind McNabb (14.7). He also leads the league in yards per attempt (8.94 link - Brees is only 8.27) Explain to me how that is "dink and dunk?"

Yeah, that 42 yarder on Sunday was a dink and dunk pass. Also, his nine yards per attempt shows he's a dink and dunk passer.

Well if Romo is a product of the system then that enables a perennial benchwarming Division II undrafted quarterback to become player of the week and and month after impressively stringing a handful of wins together in his very first opportunity in a starting role. Wow, what an unbelievable system.

Why Henson isn't starting for any team I'll never know and why did we let the Yale wonder slip out of our fingers. Tony look out because Matt Baker is breathing down your neck. And finally we can see how much Bledsoe has improved under this vaunted system. No doubt Bledsoe is benched because he is recovering from a secret injury.
