Adam Vinatieri

if we let grammy slip away I swear to god I will, well I won't do nothing, but man oh man will I give jerry dirty looks every time I see him.

Thanks Yeag.

I'd gotten tired of writing this over and over again every time someone complains we didn't get Vinatieri

We should actually have a small "Fact Zone" that can contain some simple explanations that people consistently ignore.

Other candidates for that Zone

1. Our #1 Tight End spells his last name "Witten" not "Whitten"

2. Tony Gonzales was already gone by the time we picked in that draft. We didn't choose Lafleur over him.

3. Jimmy Johnson is not getting back into coaching.

4. Roy Williams is still one of the top Strong Safeties in the NFL.

5. T.O. has deep seated mental problems, but the "dropped pass stat" for this year was invented only becasue it could be placed at T.O.'s feet

6. Albert Hatneworth not only stomped on Gurode's head, he first took the time to bend down and pull off Gurode's helmet before doing so.

I agree with all but the TO one :D

Vinateri said he wanted to sign with a dome team...

now I don't know if Dallas qualifies as a dome team or not... you guys do have that dumb hole in the cieling...

God has to be able to watch his team some how :D

but I have to ask...

who led the league in drops the previous year? or any year before that?

oh, and feel free to add onto the list. I sure there are a ton of other gems we could gather.

Vinatieri was scheduled to come to Dallas after he worked out for Indy but they didn't let him get out of town. So how did we miss out on signing him? We never had a chance to sign him.

But let's not let the facts get in the way.
There was a long time prior to that where Dallas didn't make a move. Parcells said that he told Vinatieri that he should stay in New England.

But let's not let facts get in the way.

He signed with Indy...so let's not waste time crying over spilled milk...or let facts get in the way.

Who knows, maybe AV didnt want to play with all these losers on the Cowboys roster and play for a loser organization.

No one on this board has been able to answer that question all year long. You would think that the wealth of stat mongers we have on this board would have come up with a definitive answer to that by now.

Man, you better go find a new team if we suck so badly.

Kind of hard for TO to lead the league in drops the previous two years...when he missed multiple games due to a broken bone one year and being suspended from the team the next year.

Just pointing out one of Purcells' many mistakes. If that's not allowed, forgive me.

Yeah, I know I'm full of a lot of anger, but I've been watching this crap for 11 years now, just frustrated, that's all. I'm still a fan otherwise I wouldnt display this passion, all be it negative passion, but passion.;)

Ok two points I'd like to interject in this conversation:

  1. Adam Vinatieri was swallowed up by the Colts before anyone could make a move on him.
  2. I think the Cowboys have their kicker for a while in Martin "Automatica" Gramatica, if anyone didn't notice the guy was lights out when the Cowboys needed it most.

Yeah "Automatica" is cool, they need to run him through some blocking drills though.:D

They might want to start force feeding him rice first though to put on a few pounds. :p:
