This is the problem i don’t think many on here want the team to win because they are tied up in hatred towards certain players, coaches, front office members.

If JJ won a superbowl somehow someone on here would he upset and complain about it. Cowboys fans and low testosterone correlation should be studied.
I think we deserve a chance to actually have that happen and see for ourselves. I mean...who doesn't love a good super bowl win?

You could be right. I could see some arguments on "garbage time" "the defense saved them"
we won in spite of...." you know who. Ah...the modern day human...gotta love it. Modern social media has awaken the sleeping monster...er giant.

In their defense (which I hate doing), it isn't clear that either Dak or CeeDee would have signed early. Lamb, in particular, was waiting on the Jefferson deal, and the Joneses have pointed that out.
IIRC, The Jones didn't really put out competitive offers early and by waiting until the market settled, they ultimately became the last to sign which resulted in paying a premium. I think if they had offered top dollar when FA started, they still would have made them the Highest paid at the time but ultimately paid less.

That was always the plan the Jones clan came up with.

This is a salary cap reset year, roll over as much as possible, pay Parsons next year and create room to get some FA's in here.

The last part is wishful thinking. I hope you're right, but it's been a very long time since we've gotten FAs in here.

I agree. Next year will be the same. We will sign parson and a few of our own. Maybe a couple one year deals with vets who don’t have many options. We ain’t going shopping even at Walmart, more like dollar tree

I read Mosher's post to mean the Cowboys went out and signed players like Zeke, for example, and he can't play anymore. I don't think it means they are tight on CAP space. Just my read of it.

We had zip in March because the idiots in charge decided to wait to sign Lamb and Dak in order to free up cap space.

The brain washing is from those that parrot the Cowboys BS that they are cap poor. They are not.
how come you know the conditions lamb and dak asked for in march?

You reason on assumptions not fact. To twist things your way.

Of course our Joneses are idiots. Everbody knows that. That still doesnt change the fact we had no money in march and therefore werent able to sign support.

We also made other moves to be able to have 20 mils free now. Its not because of those two contrats.

People try to make this stuff complicated but it isn't. Anyone who tries to make it complicated is only trying to hide something. All of the information is public knowledge and is easily accessible. If you want to know why ee suck this is the reasons why:

27 million in dead money on guys like Fat Zeke, Tyron Smith, Gallup, Kelvin Joseph, etc. All easily avoidable.

86 million on injured reserve mainly for Dak, D Flaw and Martin. Some might say bad luck. Others might say was pretty avoidable.

15 million for Diggs. Completely avoidable.

That is over half your cap gone before you started. This team is constantly being hard carried by guys that should be supporting the "core". The core has been rotten for a long time now. We had something in 2016 and is turned rotten almost overnight.

Maybe, just saying it takes two to tango. If you are the player why accept a lower offer when you know others are going to drive pay up even higher? Lamb had to know that Jefferson was going to reset the WR market. I don't know the particulars of when offers were made or rejected. Most of it is just speculation.

Stephen Jones said in July on Lamb and Parsons, “Both of them, rightfully so, believe they should be the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league. Totally respect that. So very difficult situations that we’re trying to work through with them.”

Dallas has plenty of space.

20 million this year rolled into 22 next year equals 42.

Resign Parsons and lower his cap hit in 2025 from 21 to 10 million. You're at 53 now.

Restructure Prescott from 89 million to 60 million. You are now at 82 million.

You make Martin and Steele post June 1st cuts that's 15 million to sign the draft class.

There are also many other restructures that can be done to add 20+ million if the team chooses to.

Dallas can have between 80 to 100 million in cap space for 2025 and do whatever they please with no restrictions. Those are facts. Anything else is a lie.
They can, but if anyone here is expecting them to do anything with that cap space as far as bringing in quality free agents, they are ignoring history. The old wildcatter put himself out to pasture a long time ago now.

In my mind the team turned over significantly 3 times in Jerry's reign. First was in 89-90. That core was blown up by the departure of Johnson and the arrival of the salary cap in 94. The second 07-08 when Parcells gave Phillips a strong team with a lot of promising young players. Finally in 2016 when we hit paydirt with Zeke and possibly the best o-line in the NFL at the time.

In 89 it was only the luck of a Minnesota trade and the pre-salary cap era that allowed the combination of Johnson and Jones to take the league by storm with one of the youngest and most talented teams ever assembled in modern football.

In 07 it was the sheer will power of Parcells that turned around a sick franchise that was talentless adn gritless.

By 2016 we were waning under a dysfunctional relationship between Romo and Garrett that resulted in an overinvestment on the offensive side and got us into shootouts with a gunsligning QB in our sideline. The best thing that happened to the team was the gunslinger got injured and we had to play team football withour young and unproven rookie.

Now we are 8 years past the last reset and it looks and feels like we are about to do it again. Each reset got us a new young QB. 89 Aikman. 06 Romo. 16 Prescott.

What does the new reset look like?

I never had a discussion with him on the cap and how would you know about AdamJT13? He hasn’t posted since January 8, 2019 and you didn’t sign on here as a member until January 7, 2023. Either you love posting BS or you just outed yourself as a banned member who’s come back under a different account.
Tobe fair he was also a big poster on the ranch before fisher took it over, going back 15 years or so now, perhaps this poster saw him over there?

Yeah they had money this year and chose not to spend. They purposely drug out contracts and kept in the media at the "expensive" of being cash strapped. If we wanted to sign someone we would have. I'm not sure how or why that changes next off season.

If you’re referring to the poster that outed himself as a banned poster who’s back under another account. He didn’t see him there because I never posted on the ranch. He claimed AdamJT13 got the better of me here arguing the cap and I never argued about the cap with him.
