I’ve been here at CZ nearly 20 years. Ive always been a “realist”. Never been afraid to be right in the middle and call things how they are. I’ve been labeled a “hater” and a “happy fan” in the same week. Some of you might remember that term.
WTBS, the Toxic Negativity is at an all time high..

So, let’s put it down on the record now. Man up. Admit now that you hate most things about this team and the Cowboys organization. You don’t think this team has a chance. You’re ready to look for a new HC, and send Dak packing. You think Tyrone should retire, Deuce is too small to succeed, Ceedee isn’t top 5, the OL isn’t deep enough, LVE is the worst starting LB in the NFL. Tre is a fraud, the defense is all hype and DQ doesn’t want to be here, Pollard is hiding his pain, Martin is washed anyway, our WR group is a week link, Jerry isn’t a football guy, oh and Dak sucks. These are all things that I’ve seen here this week.

I’m giving you the opportunity to come clean now. Say it now that despite of all your debby downer opinions, if this years team makes a serious run you will take back your words of negativity and enjoy it like the rest of us. No, I’m not talking to you guys who have a good balance. Only to those who are making this place dark and depressed all the time. Do it now and some of us will even let you jump on and enjoy the run. Do it now and prove to the Zone that when this team has a big time year, you’re not a bandwagon fan!!!

some cowboys fans will continuously complain about not having all pros and elite players at every position and the best coaches of all time. literally. they even complained during the years we were winning superbowls. some complaining that we should have won by a wider margin...

As retired military I'm not real keen on anyone trying to regulate my opinion. I fought extremely hard in places that hate this country to try and preserve one of the most precious rights so many Americans take for granted.

And that is freedom of speech.

I've never understood why just not commenting or ignoring someone's opinion with whom you disagree is so hard to understand here.

You're gonna agree with some and not with others.
But to try and regulate how individual personal opinions are shared into a one size fits all narrative ain't what this country is about.

The cliche freedom isn't free is true.
And that freedom of speech principle I fought so hard defending applies to those opinions to whom I agree with as well as to those with whom I don't.

True but this is a dallas cowboys football forum, not a social experiment. If people don't like posts, move on and chat with those who share your take. It's the simplest rule that's been around since the beginning of social media, yet some cannot grasp.
I enjoy grappling/agreeing with others, I just imagine we're all sitting at the bar babbling about our team. At the end of the day we're still all Cowboys fans with the exact same hangover.

No USArmyVet was not trying to take away the OPs freedom. Standing up against that bullcrap "be happy or leave" agenda some try to apply to this forum is not the same as taking away their freedom. We can complain about this team all we want. If the Daksters want to continue sticking their noses up his arse they are welcome to do that. We aren't telling them to leave.

Even most of Daks critics here acknowledged his performance in the game against Tampa. That game was great, yes. As far as I know there are only TWO guys who really seem to hate him. But since he decided to suck in the very next game there is nothing wrong with criticising his consistency, even when you're a "moderate" somewhere in between. And yes almost the whole team sucked in the game against SF, so what? Many people dont care about oh so great reg seasons anymore when January is once again a dead end.

Better read this forum before making such bold claims. Americas Cowboys and others have literally told people to leave because they are so "negative". Or calling them Eagles fans lol. And the OPs crap initial post goes in that very direction. He disguises it with some "own it guys" nonsense. And I couldnt care less about what you call me. Yeah, McClellan shut down not long after my basic and AIT due to lead paint and other things going on there sadly. Agreed that time changes many a thing...just glad it hasn't changed my military physique (said as he sucks in his gutt lol).
