This is business do you really think that Minny cares if he is traded to Dallas? The Vikings are going to take the best option to improve their team regardless of trading partner.

Exactly if a team offers them what reportably they want know way do they say no. You have Bridgewater and.....and.....no one. They need a another face to pair with Bridgewater as they move into their new stadium.

No way. Not with all our holes on defense.

I'm looking at the idea that we will use our second or third round picks on RB anyway. Pair that with having a proven commodity vs a rookie, I could see #60 being offered. Duke Johnson is my favorite RB in the draft as he reminds me of Emmitt, so I'm not saying I'd do the deal, but with all the 1-year contracts and franchise deal, I could see Dallas trying to go all in with AP as long as it doesn't require #27.

Don't forget Dallas could offer the Vikes a 2nd round pick next year with a 5th round pick this year for Peterson.

Again, SJones has said over and over they aren't trading their draft picks for a veteran. Only way Peterson comes to Dallas is if he's released.

What Stephen Jones says and does is two different things. I don't expect him to throw all his cards on the table and say were are very interested in AP and we will give them draft picks. Who is going to flinch first Dallas or Minnesota?

You know this how? I'll take his word over a fan board.

Unbelievable how this won't be let go.

Some of us told you since the beginning of this thread that no trade will happen before the draft, and just mere days before the draft and you guys are still clinging to the idea that we'll trade for him.

It's over, guys. Start looking at the RB prospects. Maybe then, and just maybe, you'll actually see a young RB you'd prefer over a 30 year old RB.

That's assuming we use our top two picks on defense. You do realize we could take a RB with our first or second rounder, right?

Sure if Gurley or Gordon are there, which I doubt. Dallas didn't want to pay Murray, but they will pay a 30 year rb around $8 mill or so (if he takes a pay cut)? Makes no sense. Again, Minny ALSO wants a starting corner with the trade. Take the rookie rb in 2nd/3rd, without the big money holdup.

As of today those rookie rbs you guys speak so highly of ....Google the news for yourself....lions send RB coach to Coleman's pro day....real interest....Miami herald reports Dolphins covet Gurley at 14...if u want AJayi with his fumbling and knee issues over AD...well your nuts...so that leaves Gordon...no way he is there at 27 so yes Esloan, mjames, Jim and whomever else....the dream remains in tact...bring AD home...

Jerry and Stephen made Charles write that article as a smokescreen.

Peterson trade in the works.

Would be mind blowing to me if we don't
get Gurley, Gordon, or AP and we roll the dice with some late second round scrub RB like Yeldon. Yeah, Yeldon and DMF = super bowl.

Unthinkable with the small window we are currently in with our QB.

I agree, in a poker game you don't show all your cards till the dealing is done.

Are you a new Cowboy fan? How many times has Jerry Jones said one thing and done another. His son is the same blood isn't he? Why would the Cowboys want to look desperate in getting AP? You stay under the radar, and when it is time to strike they will get AP and he will be a Cowboy IMO. Remember this, What Jerry wants Jerry gets.

I can almost promise you it's not as many times as you think since he's become an owner.

There's only one time I can think of off the top of my head, and that's when he said he wouldn't fire Wade Phillips mid-season. I'm sure there is one or two more times, if that, but don't make it seem as though it's a normal thing.

You know, it's really cool that Jerry Jones actually posts on this forum, I had no idea. I just gotta say though Jerry, I'm sorry I mean "JoeBobby", I'm really glad you relinquished control of personnel decisions to your son. If it makes you feel better, I guess there's a slim chance that if you keep up your massive volume of posting in this thread then maybe you can get through to Stephen that way and he'll change his mind!
